There are 32 camps. For example the Falcons have a camp.

    NOW look at my correction:

    THIS camp."
Not sluggish at all. If you are talking about KP then why would I be talking about the Falcons camp? Some things should be inferred. Ok, time to order you an MRI of the brain.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

I would expect him to move into the #2 spot in training camp regardless of what happens with MR.
We’ll probably see how much KP has progressed in game 2 of the preseason. I imagine he’ll start or play a lot with the starting O instead of seeing him with 2nd and 3rd stringers.
I hope Mitch starts the season and plays well enough to give KP more time to develop.
I don't see it as a given that KP will be #2 in camp. I think MR can do enough that the Steelers will feel no rush to move Pickett along quicker. Theoretically might not even see the field this season (except in on the blowout mopups ).

I think the plan is to make KP the eventual starter, so he will need the extra reps that a #2 gets and go into the season as the #2.
They already know what they have in MR. Chances are pretty slim that MR is even on the roster when the season opens.

I truly doubt KP is anything more than #3 for most of the season unless MT gets hurt and MR has to step in. I see MR falling on his face yet again and then KP rises to take the job. I do think KP will be the future for the Steelers. But, for how long I don't know. I hope Felt is right and he "balls out"

Well how he has done in shorts is over now. He'll be in pads in 30 days of so.
I just spoke to my young bud Alex n he'll be at camp as usual early on and I'll get to camp with "my note pad" a few days in n I'll try to get everyone some inside stuff on what I see good or bad. I want to see some better footwork and improved decision making. Those two area's the footwork to help with some ball mph n will allow for getting through the progressions faster. He made good decisions at Pitt but there were times where if he scanned the field better he would have made safer n easier tosses rather then going to predetermined choices. That wont fly with Sunday ball.
A telling factor for the pre-season and the early regular season concerning KP will be how many reps he gets at Latrobe. We'll all look at that good denominator to tell us how he's progressing.

Yeah I thought about you and SKL when I made that comment lol. I know SKL is not likely doing camp this year but I know you have done some of that. So, I guess you are not included in the "foos" comment lol. I always appreciate your scouting and observations. That makes sense to me about KP and it's consistent with what I have seen. He doesn't have a big arm. He has enough arm. Which means he needs to be able to read the field quickly, process quickly and be accurate. All of which from all accounts I've heard in camp he is struggling at times with. Like I said before if someone taught him how to drive a ball with his legs he would have more velocity. It's just like throwing a punch. You don't punch with your arms. Not unless you are a girl...lol. You punch with your lower body, torque, driving through the object or person. Same physics apply to throwing a ball. You load with the lower body and drive with the lower body. Do we have any bowlers here? Like really good bowlers? How much work does the actual arm do? Very little. It's footwork, letting the ball do the work, being relaxed, concentration, picking your lines. With throwing a football, it's a little different but not much. KP needs to be coached up before he will be ready.

I would have to say the bottom line for me is at the end of the 22 season I want a real good idea of what Pickett is. Good or bad I don't want to be .... well we need more time to figure out what we got. That 23 qb draft class imho is going to be good.

It will be better than the last one. But, if your top QB is CJ Stroud I wonder about the rest of the field. I mean I think CJ is a good QB but I need to see another year to believe he can truly be elite at the next level. Also, there is almost zero way the Steelers spend another first on a QB in the next 3 years. They believe in KP, and they will let it play out.

perfect, I hope lots of QBs get taken in front of us leaving the Steelers with an even better selection of other positional players like in the trenches, CB or ILB.
