I recall celebrating the drafting of KP8, and welcoming the KP8 era during training camp... and being criticized on this list....

me: OK, the business is taken care of... Now it's time to show all the doubters that not only are you the most NFL-ready rookie QB, you are deserving of being a starter and the only first-round QB taken in the draft...

KP worked mainly with the 3rd string in OTAs, but worked hard. Mitch and KP are training together in Florida this summer. That's good.
I would expect him to move into the #2 spot in training camp regardless of what happens with MR.
We’ll probably see how much KP has progressed in game 2 of the preseason. I imagine he’ll start or play a lot with the starting O instead of seeing him with 2nd and 3rd stringers.
I hope Mitch starts the season and plays well enough to give KP more time to develop.

I don't see it as a given that KP will be #2 in camp. I think MR can do enough that the Steelers will feel no rush to move Pickett along quicker. Theoretically might not even see the field this season (except in on the blowout mopups ).
