Henry is a beast no doubt. But, he isnt Harris who is a beast who can be split out. Watch what Canada does with him this season.

Derrick Henry averaged the most touches per game by a running back in 2021, with 29.6 per game.

Whisper is so focused on disrespecting "Cool Shades" that he really does not do much thinking. In the grand scheme of things Najee Harris 307 carries is not an astronomically high number of carries. In the more recent NFL the running back position has become deemphasized and it is more rare for running backs to carry that often although he cites Derrick Henry, I suppose, as a back being used correctly, although he has closer to 400 carries than 300 carries.

Back in the day players like Larry Johnson, James Wilder, Eric Dickerson and Eddie George got 400 carries. Jerome Bettis Had 5 seasons where he carried more than 307 times. One year he carried 375 times. I don't think "Cool Shades" coached the Bus. Even smaller backs like Barry Sanders, Tony Dorsett, Emmit Smith and Curtis Martin got 320 to 370 carries. That was in 16 game season.

So I am not extremely concerned about 307. The Steelers did not have a prolific offense and Najee was not that efficient of a runner. I don't think he has the burst and he as fast as Henry. The 40 time at the combine does not tell the whole story. Turn on the tape and Henry is definitely faster on the football field. But I certainly think Harris can take it to another level this year and improve.
