Agree. Whoever QB1 is deserves the best OL possible which means
Colt FA LT Eric Fisher to start ahead of or spell Dan Moore.

I think that DJ's best attribute is getting separation when given just a little more time than he had, and being elusive with the ball in his hands in the open field. Last season's offense was a horrible fit for him because the goal seemed to be to get him the ball before he had that extra second to separate in as much traffic as possible. I think that he has the skill and is primed for a breakout season.

There is a but though, a big big but.

In today's NFL, one of the easiest positions to adjust quickly to is WR. A good receiver coming out has a shorter learning curve than probably any position. Couple that with the "Christian Kirk effect" which has seen receiver cap hits rise disproportionately makes WR the one position that you go with the philosophy to replace in the draft at a fraction of the cost. I like DJ. Under different circumstances I would want him signed. I can't justify the upcoming cost.

I agree. IMO ALL 3 Steeler QB candidates are hugely better than last season's Ben. Writing that is Church of NFL Heresy since Ben's been a "sure future HOFer" since losing to Green Bay in the SB. Luckily I'm in LA and publicly slapping down an old fart is out of style in 2022 America

Moore was better than Chucks as a rookie and looks to have improved. If anything move him to right tackle and Chucks to the bench. Never have I seen such a weak run blocking tackle. At least of the starters.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

IIRC Moore was not able to make the switch to RT so he stayed on the left side and Chuks returned to the right. Not making excuses for Chuks, and on a solid Oline he is not a starter, but he is natural on the left, not the right.
