A long shot but it wouldn't surprise me either.

    The Browns is the Browns.
And then the Browns go begging on their knees to ask Faker to come back

    that would be priceless

I hope Goodell stands fast with "buyer beware". And what about Cleveland supposedly doing in-depth investigation of their own? I think the Browns knew about this stuff but took the chance it would fade away. Shame on them.

With that kind of money, you don't even NEED game. He hasn't needed game since winning the national championship with Clemson. This is just something he likes.

hold up - i haven't been reading all the deets on this... was that on the list of accusations?

In the grand scheme of things, i guess the question is how did it all play out. If he FORCED someone to do something, that's one thing. If he said, "ok, how much will it cost, I'll pay ya more", that's another.

*DeVille thinks about it* I mean.... how much was he paying ??

Proving that will be most difficult. Watson is 1-2 in the playoffs and his stats last year are inflated form playing behind so much. He QB'd Houston to a 4-12 record. In 2021 they were 4-13 without him. No difference in him elevating the team. Some franchise quarterback, huh? I think he's over rated and Houston is the big winner in the trade and unloading him.

            Texans receive: Three first-round picks (2022, 2023, 2024), one third-round pick (2023), two fourth-round picks (2022, 2024
. Wow they can completely reload. And it cost Cleveland more than just all these draft picks to have him the face of the franchise. OUCH.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Sorry Browns fans, seems your dream of voiding the contract isn't so (at least for the first couple seasons). Haslam got fleeced bad by Watson's agent:

If this is correct BOTH Haslam and the McNairs could have their mitts elbow deep in the criminal law wringer. If I'm DeShaun's lawyer I'm thinking about advising him to be a witness against both owners whenever criminal charges are eventually filed.

If there is evidence that the owners knew about it, then I think Watson gets 4 games and they hush everything up.

We've seen how the league protects owners. Maybe owner's that aren't Kraft or Snyder would be treated differently....but I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

What crimes were committed? He never forced anyone to do anything and never paid extra for sexual acts, thus no crimes were committed. Two juries already found that no crimes were committed.

If I've posted as if I'm a lawyer, forgive me. I'm not. As for the "yuck" factor of DeSean and the 27 women, I may be less current as to the details than you. I was unaware of 2 previous juries being involved in the incidents. Finally, if any illegalities are involved, I'd assume that covering them up is just as illegal as anything DeSean did.

Two grand juries looked into the cases, neither proceeded with any criminal proceedings.

Does anyone else see some humor in Ryan Clark's comments about this issue on an episode of "Get Up"
