Georgia dodged rumors that Carroll's death was a mob hit. She remarried, divorced, then ran the Rams into the ground before moving to St. Louis.

Wrote all that to suggest scandal is old hat to the NFL. Haslam's already "dirty." My totally unprovable guess is some of the other NFL owners want none of Haslam's stuff touching them and Goodell is their Shield Polisher. Just spit-ballin'

            Browns is gonna Browns......

New York Times finds that Deshaun Watson met with at least 66 women for massages in 17 months
Posted by Mike Florio on June 7, 2022, 5:10 PM EDT

The 24th lawsuit against Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson contends that Watson has sought out “random strangers on Instagram” for massages “more than a hundred times.” The New York Times has nailed down roughly two thirds of them.

A new article from Jenny Vrentas of the Times reports that Watson met with at least 66 women for massages in a 17-month period. And the key words are “at least.” After Watson’s lawyer, Rusty Hardin, issued a statement indicating that he could not respond to the newest lawsuit filed against Watson because they had not heard the 24th plaintiff’s name before Monday, PFT asked Hardin’s office whether it would respond to the broader allegation that Watson arranged “more than a hundred” massages with “random strangers on Instagram.” Hardin’s office has not yet provided a definitive answer.

Vrentas writes that it’s not clear when Watson began looking for so many different women to provide massages. She points out that Hardin at one point blamed the practice on the pandemic. However, she reports that Watson began working with “numerous women” before then.

One woman who didn’t sue Watson or file a criminal complaint told Vrentas that Watson was “persistent” in requesting sexual activity during the massage, and that he was “begging” for oral sex. The unnamed woman then gave Watson the kind of clear, direct advice that few apparently have.

“I specifically had to say, ‘No, I can’t do that,'” she said. “And that’s when I went into asking him, ‘What is it like being famous? Like, what’s going on? You’re about to mess up everything.’”

Everything really is messed up. And it all traces to his habit or fetish or compulsion or whatever to have so many different women provide him with massages, apparently or allegedly with the door open for something else. On Friday, Hardin tried to normalize receiving or seeking “happy endings” during a massage because for Watson, it apparently became all too normal.

Starting to think Watson may be gone for another year or gone for good if this keeps going on and on.

The reality is dude sounds like a guy who has no game with the ladies. Dude also requested a trade after a huge contract AND knowing the Texans knew about his massage fetish.

That’s just crazy. I understand wanting out but dude, not like this. All that leads me to believe he is guilty.. just not sure what he is guilty of. Guilty of being a perv? Guilty of not reading the room and realizing its not the right time to ask for a pink in the stink?

This lawyer is going to keep finding women whether real or not because he has to win over the public since he couldn’t get a criminal charge.

Browns better have an out in that contract or a handshake with Goodell.

66 os the floor not the ceiling.

Dude was on a mission.. and the Texans knew he had issues.

and somehow Watson thought he could make demands? smh.. dude is an idiot.

Well, maybe he is just who he is because he literally just demanded a trade and received a fully guaranteed contract. Hell, this type of stuff makes it hard to believe he isn’t guilty of something because when you get what you want.. you always expect to get it even when you hear the word no.

Just never thought it would be Deshaun.. smh.

If Russell Wilson ever gets in trouble I think life is over as we know it.

[sarcasm]Over 17 months...that's not even one "massage" a week (~6 shy). [end sarcsasm]

There is no way this is a surprise.

It would be interesting to have an outside transparent investigation of the NFL investigation to see what they knew and when. But like the Gruden thing, I highly doubt the truth sees the light of day.

hey Roger, the NFL shield is getting more tarnished every day:

Texans, others to be added as defendants in lawsuits against Browns' Deshaun Watson

Earlier on Wednesday, Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski refused to offer any meaningful comment about Tuesday's bombshell New York Times story that claims star quarterback Deshaun Watson arranged for massage appointments with at least 66 different women from fall 2019 through spring 2021.

That is ugly news to see in black and white but not all that shocking considering the length of time and the number of times it happened. Texans either were well aware or at least turned a blind eye to the situation.

This is the only hope for Browns fans. The NFL finds the Texans knew of these issues, voids the contract, and returns the draft picks to the Browns.

A long shot but it wouldn't surprise me either.

                                The Browns is the Browns.

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.
