In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Wasn't the biggest problem with Bridgwater early that he had a bunch of injuries?
Maybe I'm misremembering...Comment

The way I see it is if Pickett is going to be a winner it'll have to be from between the ears. Everything else looks to be average to slightly better than average compared to the last few QB classes.Comment

The winningest QB in the 80s, 90s, 2000, were ALL average or below physically.
They were more successful than EVERY SINGLE PHYSICALLY GIFTED QB since Bradshaw.
Truth is, "Between the ears" and the skill of accuracy IS the ceiling for QBs.Last edited by Captain Lemming; 05-22-2022, 01:04 AM.sigpic

Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!
I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.Comment

Top 10 QBs last season with the slowest release times. Seems a real mixed bag from very good QBs to awful:
(note; Pickett would lead the list if he is as slow as last year; 3.19 sec)
TT Jalen Hurts 3.12 Jameis Winston 3.02 Zach Wilson 3 Taylor Heinicke 2.97 Lamar Jackson 2.96 Teddy Bridgewater 2.91 Justin Fields 2.91 Josh Allen 2.9 Sam Darnold 2.88 Trevor Lawrence 2.87 Comment

Context matters so much. Processing is cited as a Pickett strength, a lot of the other guys in that list aren't good at it and end up running around as a result. OL quality matters, too.Top 10 QBs last season with the slowest release times. Seems a real mixed bag from very good QBs to awful:

Didn't Ben have the quickest last year?
That stat doesn't mean much on its own.Comment

Jalen Hurts being number 1 is interesting. I wonder if its because they fear his legs so they spy him instead of blitzing him.Context matters so much.
