    Cmon Shawn.. lol
Dude I don't hide. I think they were all ****. Do you see me anywhere advocating for Zack Wilson? I'm just saying most scouts would have rated him higher. We both know this.

I’ve always been in the KP isn’t that good a QB camp and have watched a lot of Pitt games and been frustrated with him at times.

But he’s made amazing improvement in the last year and I the thing I most appreciate about him is that you know he’s gonna keep working to get better and I know he has a special mental makeup that he’s going to be a decent NFL QB.

Im looking forward to seeing KP and MT compete this offseason. The best part is we got 2 high character guys that are going to help each other out.

I suspect KP is gonna get the edge cause we just drafted him in the 1st and the Pittsburgh fans know him and want to see him play. And I think MT is going to be an awesome mentor and help KP succeed faster than he would without him around.

Whoever ends up playing is going to be fine with the O we’ve got surrounding these guys. And we might surprise everyone with how good this team is going to be.

I mean literally Pickett never had a good game against a good D. He doesn't use his lower body to leverage torque through his throws. Yes Mahomes got away with it because his arm is freakish. I watched Mahomes throw off platform yet drill dudes side armed on a laser. I watch Pickett throw floating balls to wide open WRs off platform against subpar Ds because he doesn't know better. He won't beat out Trubisky. He is a lesser version. Roast me if I'm wrong.

I can respect this take. It took Pickett time to develop to were even at a college level against bad college talent he frustrated you. That is what I am seeing. I get a bit crazy knowing these "scouts" making crazy money are seriously thinking Pickett was worth a 20th pick. He's not that good. We needed to pass and develop and support our DL and OL. Trubisky isnt Ben but hes a better version of Pickett that much I know.

Not trying to pop bubbles but Trubisky was 24/12.
1/4 of those TDs came in one game, half in three games against teams that won 5, 6, and 7 games.

And got outplayed by Mac Jones, so Jones is the best?

Demonstrably false, evidenced by the actual film posted by actual analysts. Until you post your "film" breakdown and illustrate this you're just blowing smoke.

No need for anyone to argue over anything. This will play out over the next 4-5 months. We can have our favorites. I'm on record saying I think Trubisky is going to be good for us and I prefer him over Pickett for 2022. Whether that is an accurate opinion will be determined over the course of 2022.

You kept saying if he was in last years draft he would be a second rounder. I’m pointing out how Wilson and Lance were selected top 5 last year. What did they dooooo??? Didn’t say you were touting these 2 but you put them ahead of Pickett in your hypothetical and who did they played against lesser competition than Pickett.

Pickett was 3rd in Heisman voting yet you asked what has Pickett ever done? This def looks like trolling when you ask a Heisman finalist what he did in college to warrant being a starter day 1.

If we had an established QB I could see your confidence but we have 2 backups competing with Pickett. There is no reason to suggest Pickett has no shot when both these guys had multiple chances and didn’t establish themselves.

and Fields outplayed Lawrence.. but its because Clemson was Lawrence and hardly anything else because they lost a ton of talent.

Lawrence is still the better QB.

yeah.. its weird when people use head to head matchups of QB’s like they are on the field at the same time.

Buckeyes were clearly more talented than Clemson in that game but this is how a team ends up with a Jamarcus Russell.. lol.

Russell outplayed Brady Quinn in a bowl game but LSU was superior across the board. Quinn wasn’t anything speical either but he was still better than Jamarcus Russell.

you don’t know that.. its what you HOPE happens.

and Vegas already has him as a favorite for offensive rookie of the year.

if the scouts make you crazy then Tomlin will really push you over the edge.

"He certainly has a chance (to be our Week 1 starter)," Tomlin said of Pickett to NFL Network's Rich Eisen during Saturday's coverage of the 2022 NFL Draft. "I agree with that sentiment of his readiness from a professional perspective."

Maybe you can reach out to them and compare your film study with theirs and see if you can change their minds.

                              Colbert talking to WDVE Tuesday:

“Throughout the whole process, we thought Kenny was the best (of the quarterbacks in the draft),” Colbert told the ‘DVE Morning Show. “I remember talking to (Pitt) coach (Pat) Narduzzi in the spring, (after) Kenny decided not to play in the bowl game. And he said, ‘What do you think?’ I said, ‘Coach, he is the best one. There is no doubt in our minds.’ Good for him. He did what he needed to do there. He progressed through the Senior Bowl and the whole scouting process and never short-changed it. Never did we think Kenny would be available.”

                                Nope we panicked.. lol.

Shawn may not like it but I think our FO is going to lean towards Pickett to start unless he is totally overwhelmed and I don’t see that happening.

                                but time will tell.

One thing for sure, we didn’t panic when it came to Pickett.
