The only thing I could find on Pickett that needs development is sometimes his footwork isn't the best. I'm no QB expert so don't know if footwork belongs with 'mechanics'. The other thing that I read somewhere was that Pickett's earlier seasons he didn't have the best throwing motion but this markedly improved his last season. Maybe this is the source of disagreement?

If life is kicking your ass then step away for a while. You were the one who said it would be fun to debate this topic, now
your panties are in a bunch when challenged.
You were the one who said you provided the site but never provided it. If you provided it years ago its weird to tell people to do their homework after telling them you provided a site where you watched a breakdown.
Dixon.. as in Dennis Dixon. Windy posted a link where you predicted Flacco would be a bust and Dixon would pan out.
You do realize the year Flacco won a SB he had 11 TD’s and 0 INT’s in the playoffs.. and the D was ranked 22nd.
But why let facts get in the way?Trolls are people too.Comment

Since we don't use our own thoughts to break players down here is a AFC executive's opinion about Pickett.
Pickett was the most impressive [QB]. He was the biggest guy, strongest stature — he just felt like a quarterback. But then your concern is the arm. There’s nothing special about it. What’s he going to look like when he’s getting his ass f***ing blitzed and having to throw off-platform, and he has to win with his arm only? He’s mobile enough. He can move, he’s not lot like a statue. If you had to have a m*****f***** play right now, it’s Pickett, but he doesn’t have any godd*** upside.Trolls are people too.Comment

And terrific about Dennis Dixon. Was it that long ago that I was wrong lol? geez Flacco and Dixon? I've made many incorrect predictions over the years. And this Windy guy has literally never contributed anything of value to this site. I haven't seen one quality breakdown from him. To be honest, I don't think I've ever seen one from you either. You are just more entertaining. Windy uses other peoples thoughts to debate mine which I find hilarious. You as we both know like to stir IT for your own amusement. Listen, we can watch this play out. I think Pickett is a project and I don't agree with the draft "experts". 19 other NFL teams agreed with me. Pickett is not a bad QB. I didn't call him a bust. I just think he will get a rude awakening when he isn't playing Duke and throwing to wide open WRs.
If you're going to break down film and give your opinion and then get dismissive and tell people to do their own research without backing it up, and furthermore dismiss all of those other breakdowns with a flippant "They are wrong. End of story.", that's your prerogative, but don't expect people to buy what you're peddling.Comment

For one, this is a discussion board, not an NFL analysts panel. And two, most "breakdowns" are just opinions based on very limited viewing and rarely "quality" and more often, just plain wrong. Even the people who watch every single play of a QB in college get it wrong. A lot.
LOL. Maybe the worst argument ever. How many of those 19 teams needed a QB as a high priority? How many teams agreed with the draft position of Tom Brady? Drew Brees? Kurt Warner?Comment

Extends plays
Keeps eyes downfield
Mobile/can move the chains with his feet
Throws well on the run
Put up 30+ in both losses
Responds well to adversity
Pro ready
Pushes the ball downfield
42 TD’s and 7 TD’s
Watched the actual games and not just highlights or lowlights.
all you said was he has terrible footwork and gave the definition of the mechanics on how to drive the ball down the field.. lol.Steelers 27

and its a but odd how these folks talk about upside to make average stats more encouraging.
Willis has huge upside because he didn’t show it this year on the field.. at freaking Liberty.
its fools gold and teams didn’t but it when it came to these other QB’s with more upside. Its just a way of saying “ignore all the bad and trust he will turn into something one day”
Could happen but give me the pro ready QB.Steelers 27

The arrogance.. lol. Our scouts watched Pickett for years at Pitt and they use the same facilities. Damn near every “expert” says Pickett is the most NFL ready QB. 3rd in Heisman voting..
No one is right in May. We will find out soon enough.
but Shawn is right. Pickett is in for a rude awakening in the NFL.
Just like Peyton Manning, Trevor Lawrence, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow’s knee and 99% of rookie QB’s.
but I also believe Pickett is closer to Burrow and Mahommes than most believe on terms of making things happen when going off script.Steelers 27
