    What Dreams May Come

When props are due, props are due. Sorry I have been absent. Taking care of a loved one after surgery. First draft I missed in 20 years. But Feltdizz, dude you nailed it. Now, fingers crossed the second part of your dream comes true and he balls out. I honestly didn't think he would drop that far so I didn't do much analysis on him. I can't wait to break down the film and give an honest opinion. I know with superficial watching of some videos I wasn't that impressed. With that said, I am open minded and will give Pickett an open minded grade. I think you are the only one who got it right...congrats!

The Steelers will be in good hands if Pickett is the next franchise QB. They addressed several areas on offense to give the next QB a good chance to succeed. Pickett can grow with the yound offensive skill position players.

One key will be with how the Oline gels. Can address every area in free agency or one draft.

Is it easier to develop Olinemen quicker or skill position players? I think developing Olineman is "easier" than developing skill position players. This seems to be the Steelers approach.

      Respect.

Pickett is going to win the starting job and ball out on day one. There will be growing pains but the kid has IT. He is the perfect QB for our OL and we are following the Bengals model.

      QB and weapons..

Now, my negatives on Pickett is throwing across his body. That worked in college but DB’s in the NFL we know how that usually works out. He’s also a greedy QB so there will be times he pushes the ball downfield when there is something underneath.

He isn’t Joe Burrow but he is damn close.. lol.

      His best qualities:
      extending plays
      keeping his eyes downfield
moving the chains with his feet
      quick decision making

I think the O-line is what we all will be focused on now. Gotta give the young man some protection.

And respect to you. I'm going to commit some real time just to break him down this week. We can debate his traits. I won't lie. I'm pretty excited.

I don't think we will rush him to be the starter, he can sit and learn awhile behind Trubisky.

I can't disagree with you. When he is inaccurate its because he was pressured.

Now listen, I am a logical man. I am a man of science. This is my cognitive dissonance because my mother just knew things. She predicted things. My logical mind agrees with you. If I'm being purely logical, I say that Trubisky outplays Pickett in camp and earns the starting job. We slowly develop Pickett. But, I won't lie Dizz's confidence and him going ALL IN. I'm intrigued.

OL is a major factor in the development of this ROOK for sure.
Our OL should be better with Cole ,Daniels and Dotson all in the interior as upgrades from what we had a year ago. In addition Moore could be better with the year under his belt. I thought Leglue filled in okay late last year so at least we have some depth.
Now I said better but that doesn't mean they'll be good that is tbd. We couldn't get a bow to save our arses a year ago. That has got to improve for Pickett to have some success cause I think we all know Harris is major league but he can't do it alone. Pickett will need at least a decent run game to give him a chance to turn potential into production.

I'd love for him to sit for a year. But Tomlin did say Pickett is going to be in competition to start. So I"m just hoping the O-line is up to protecting whoever is going to be the starter.

I would say most QBs are like that, even Tom Brady.

learn what? Who the hell is Trubisky? Not to be dismissive of his talents but he hasn’t played for a whole year.

If Tomlin is being honest about it being an open competition I don’t see why Pickett needs to wait. He will be 24 and has been in a pro offense. He is ready.

True.. but one of Picketts best qualities is throwing on the run and escaping pressure. He just needs to slide every time, lol.

Lets be real. This OL is improved but needs to gel. Day one? I don't want Pickett running for his life. I am one who thinks Trubisky is better than advertised. I think he was in a bad system surrounded by junk with a bad coach. He's better than an old BB, that I stand by. He can get us to the playoffs. But, I don't believe he is franchise worthy. His ceiling is Jimmy G. So, I agree, lets sit the rookie. Let the OL gel. Let the new WRs come into their own.

Agreed. I won't argue that fact. I have some time today. Let me really break our new QB down so I don't say things out of ignorance.
