    kind of a rhetorical question...

But why does a woman being passed out in a vehicle make this any less tragic than it is?

Bad decisions regardless of the situation/explanation does not make this any less of a tragedy and the end of a life way too soon. I am an extremely cynical person, but do not want to be that cold and cynical. I mourn the loss of a man who regardless of why, lost his life way too soon.

Regardless of intent...responses about the details, it kind of feels like "See he got his comeuppance."

    But that's just me...

We don't even know if this is true yet or not, so I would temper any jumping to conclusions. Even if true a witness said they saw Haskins raising his arms. This is a signal for assistance, is it possible he was looking for help for the young lady? He may not have been doing a Teddy, as it is being suggested her.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

I am not jumping to any conclusions yet. Haskins may have been trying to get help for her or it could be a complete bogus story.

A woman being passed out in the vehicle doesn't make the death less tragic. However, it does make Haskins look like he never matured. It merely confirms what many of us have said about him. Remember this is a married man who had been a part of domestic violence situation with his wife. Let's not forget that and the fact that he had a drunk woman in his vehicle at 6am. It is not a stretch to assume that he was up to no good and this shows us he wasn't trying to be a better husband for his wife. That is my take on it.

Then the millenials kinda took over the word and pushed it to an extreme where they became almost caricatures of themselves to the point where others took the word from them and used it to poke fun at them.

It's strange how the word had some sense of pride in it by a group, got stolen by another group and then used against that group to trigger them. Kinda the same that they did with the term politically correct.

And its one of those words that people won't really understand until the comedians start using it. Someone like the SouthPark guys have to dumb it back down for everyone.

I'm not sure I buy that avoiding saying bad things about people who are recently deceased is being woke. It's just polite imho.

I also get why wokeness is annoying, but also calling people out for being woke is a little passive aggressive.
Like everything it seems these days. I can think of ten common phrases off the top of my head that are used to mean something different than what we always thought they meant.

                    its just name calling.. lol.

some grade school goofyness. A frw years ago everyone was a snowflake. Funny thing is as soon as you threw harsh criticism at those screaming snowflake THEY melted.

Look in this thread as a prime example. Using a death to claim victory isn’t tough or brave.. its a sign of weakness. Yet they call others wimps and soft because they aren’t strong enough to “tell it like it is”

Are you still flapping your gums because you didn't agree with an article a 90 year old man wrote? Now this is truly pathetic and weak, but coming from somebody who prefers a narrative over the truth, it is not surprising. But hey, you still have your pronouns, phony outrage, virtue signaling, cancel culture, censorship and your social justice warrior friends. However you lack the two most important things - critical thinking skills and honesty.

Brandt didn't "write an article", he riffed on live radio. I like how you use your critical thinking skills to instantly pigeonhole everyone you disagree with into your well-defined array of liberal memes.

                        You good, they bad!

Who cares how a 90 year old man communicated his opinion. The important part is the woke mob had to play the phony outrage card and virtue signal to the world how much they loved a third stringer who never played a regular season down for the team. You guys looked like phony idiots!

Gil Brandt's and your facts are undeniable, Bro Prowler, but your HUMANITY is what everyone is on your case about. Joseph Stalin allowed four million people to starve to death in the early 1930's and said: "One death is a tragedy but four million deaths is a statistic." You might not say that I deserved to be hit by a car in 2018 for veering my power wheelchair out of the crosswalk but I don't know you at all. I think the point the others are making is that there is a proper time for everything. 90 year old Gil Brandt apologized for his Tweet afterward. How about you? Best regards,

Never apologize to the cancel culture mob. At least I'm not pretending to have phony outrage like the woke mob in this thread. And at least I'm honest and not a liar like Feltdizz and Steel Mafia.

Steel Mafia is a real piece of work. Tries to say he didn't call me a name but he's not bright enough to know people can look up his comments. The dunce also claims to be good friends with Desmond Ridder's family but than can't spell his last name right. What a clown!

I don't think you're posting that I DESERVED to be hit by a car for being out of the crosswalk or that you're defending Josef Stalin's starving four million Ukranians - but maybe you are.
