You sound really crazy right now which probably shows that whatever I said about you was correct.

I’m done though, congrats on winning whatever it is you think you “won” based on Haskins death.

I'm a victim? This is news to me. It is more like I wouldn't bend over to the woke mob's phony outrage and as a result you lost your temper, calling me a name and swearing. Not a big deal. Now if you are smart I'm giving you an out, so I suggest you take the opportunity and run with it.

I know feltdizz, the truth is never important to you. Thanks for showing everyone exactly what I was talking about.

The opportunity I would like to take is to thank you, for showing us all who you really are as a person.

For the record, no one has lost their temper, and there was no name calling. I just questioned you about your defense to the extremely immature and moronic argument that you so freely shared. As for the pic, I agree that it probably was not needed. You have said enough already that implied the same. However, if the shoe fits ...

Since we are making suggestions, my original suggestion still stands. Grow up. While it is unfortunate for Haskins, being taken so early. You, my immature friend, still has time.

Good Luck. I can see it will be a long road.

Brain research indicating that brain development is not complete until near the age of 25, refers specifically to the development of the prefrontal cortex. 3

Dwayne Haskins was 24 (reminder). It appears he had weathered the storm and by all accounts was on the right path (he posted on his wife's SM how she had helped him weather the storm in his life).

I think there is a big difference between being humane and compassionate about the loss of a life...a life so young and promising (and I do not talk about football here, I talk about the more important things like being a loving husband and father). I often refer to a John Dunne poem/sermon as one of my favorite quotes. Perhaps instead of focusing on the mundane act of throwing a football, it would be better to think empathetically on how you would feel (or felt) if you lost a parent early in your life, or if you were to suddenly die with infants.

I won't pretend to know where/why this is so fundamentally difficult to understand. I am sure it exists within those who are so quick to denigrate. It just takes time for it to travel from your anterior insular cortex. (where empathy is found).

            No man is an island,
            Entire of itself,
Every man is a piece of the continent,
            A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
            Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thy friend's
            Or of thine own were:
            Any man's death diminishes me,
Because I am involved in mankind,
            And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
            It tolls for thee.

            John Donne (https://www.poemhunter.com/john-donne/)

            Brothervad

Some deep stuff, Brothervad, some deep stuff. I was previously only familiar with the last line of that poem, as were probably most peeps in here. I'm not sure I agree with the premise though, lately, in this world, I am more into the premise of "dog eat dog" type philosophy of the world, all things considered.

While I admit, I am far more of a "bleeding heart" as I age, I can't help but notice the "nature of nature" which, as carnivores at least, is about killing for survival. It's funny, I belong to a few "neighborhood" apps locally, and many posters have a "save every animal's life" regardless of dangers. For instance, often times, people will post a picture of a snake found on their property - including in their house sometimes - and ask "Do you know what kind of snake this is?" About 20% of the time, the photo is of a water moccasin/cottonmouth. These are aggressive, venomous snakes. But nearly half of the respondents say things like, "spray it with a garden hose, he should know he's not welcome then and should move along."

I don't know man, they are deadly snakes and I have 2 small dogs. Should I merely just spray some water at it if I come across one on my property?

I don't know; I realize I am way off topic here and none of this pertains to the tragic death of DH.

"There was no name calling". Your words Steel Mafia. A big fat lie! Anyone can easily go back one page and see for themselves. You look like a fool.

I see a pattern here. Feltdizz denies he made false statements about me, you than denied that you called me a name. Did the two of you go to the same Ethical Genders Study School?

By the way it looks like Gil Brandt was right about Dwayne Haskins. Apparently, Haskins had an inebriated women (that wasn't his wife) in his car at 6 in the morning. I'm sure he was just thinking about how to improve his football skill, right?

Talking about growing up, why don't you grow up and start being honest instead of crying about a news report you didn't like. You've never met Haskins and he never played a regular season game in the black and gold, yet you pretend you're devastated like it was Roethlisberger dying. Save your phony outrage for your other logically challenged woke friends.

I don't care what you think about me. You're soft and as a result, you can't handle the truth. You're just another woke virtue signaler. You people are a plague to society and on our freedoms.

OK, this is a prank account. I almost fell for it, but well done.

Dizz, SoD, hawaiian - do I seem "woke" to you?

You are you woke if you need other people to justify how you feel inside. A pathetic sheep sitting alone on the computer wearing 3 masks.

At one point it was a sense of pride and people recognizing they were aware and vigilant about certain issues - mostly reasonable people.

Then the millenials kinda took over the word and pushed it to an extreme where they became almost caricatures of themselves to the point where others took the word from them and used it to poke fun at them.

It's strange how the word had some sense of pride in it by a group, got stolen by another group and then used against that group to trigger them. Kinda the same that they did with the term politically correct.

And its one of those words that people won't really understand until the comedians start using it. Someone like the SouthPark guys have to dumb it back down for everyone.

I'm not sure I buy that avoiding saying bad things about people who are recently deceased is being woke. It's just polite imho.

I also get why wokeness is annoying, but also calling people out for being woke is a little passive aggressive.
