    Tuitt's house for sale

Another indication his days are done as a Steeler. Another hole to fill, we might even use a 1st-round pick on DL now, further hurting the OL development. And we need a NT as well. DE, NT, OG, OT, C (if we are being honest about Green's development there), CB, ILB and that's ignoring the elephant in the room: QB. No way are we competing for anything in 2022. Could also us another WR. A #2 RB. S.

Yeah, our problems coupled with all the good teams in the AFC spells trouble. I really hope they don't try patch all holes with average players. Focus on one or two position groups and make them a strength.

      I agree with this sentiment.

It’s probably a multi year process to improve. However at the same time, I do think we need to fill in as many gaps via FA so we set ourselves up to take the best players that fall to us in the draft.

It’s almost as if we have to be a little reactive and don’t even know which part of the team we’re gonna upgrade the most until we do. At least that’s my hope. Get the best guys and then adjust the system to the talent.

This is what I'm afraid of. They'll think they need to paper over every hole so instead of quality, they'll choose quantity. This is how you end up with guys like Jon Bostic, Morgan Burnett, Mark Barron, Donte Moncrief....

Instead of a handful of average players who they'll try to cut or restructure a year later, sign one long term quality starter. Maybe two.

If they designate him post June 1st, they'll save $9M in cap space.

That should afford us a couple of long snappers.

Many in the media believe Tuitt will retire. Add NT to the laundry list of needs.

That is why we should go OL and DL in Rounds 1 and 2.

Free Agency will be more important this year than it has been in a decade because we actually have the money to fill some critical needs.

Agreed. The draft is particularly deep at OL and DL. I’d consider trading down to get additional picks (they only have 6 total picks). They need to go heavy in the trenches either by FA or the draft.

I've never been a fan of trading back (down) but this year it makes sense.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

This is old news, I think I first read about in December, I think playoff time.

                        I don't understand this....

The team, the players, the beat writers, keep saying they are happy with Wormley's and Loudermilk's play, but yet most fans are shouting that DT is a huge need. The same thing for Adams, yet they are screaming to draft a NT in the first round. To make matters more confusing, Alualu situation is much more clear...

I keep telling every one it was the scheme, and the poor play of the ILB that killed the D on run plays.

Something has to change on the worst run defense in the league statistically. They need a plug and play NT. Alualu doesn’t have much left.

nah.. I think most people were happy with those players as backup/depth and role players. Not as starting DT’s.

I don’t want a NT in the first but I will take another Tuitt in the first or second if the draft falls a certain way and its a BPA type of pick.

Not sure how anyone could be “happy” with our run defense last year. While the ILB has to improve the DL also has to keep those guys clean.

NT won't help when teams are gashing our nickel D in the run game.
