it clearly shows which way the league is heading. and before this past years draft our team is being built in the opposite direction.

9 of the previous 12 top 2 round picks being selected for the defense
Sorry I don't believe being built in the opposite direction. Defense is still a big part of the game. Tampa won the Superbowl last year because their defense played well enough.

There is a place for defense in the NFL today. Teams can win a lot of games and make the playoffs because of defense. At the end of the day it only matters how a team performs on game day. This is why coaches and teams compete. I am a competitor in life so I understand this philosophy even if I am over matched. Every now and then the underdog rises up and wins.

I will share one personal experience. As a kid my uncle used to kick my ass in chess. Once I rose up to the occasion and beat him. He stared at the chess bored on the porch wondering how I won. How could a kid defeat a grown and experience man?

Why did the undefeated Pat lose to the Giants in the Superbowl??????

That's WTF I am talking about.

Tampa won because the chiefs offensive line was wiped out with injuries.

Well Mahommes had an injury but he and the rest of the offense didn't execute on the opportunities that the coaches gave the offense.

Where are your same courtesies for the Steelers injuries? For example, the Steelers had to pull Sean Spence from the couch vs the Jags in 2017.

This year the Steelers Olline was shuffled multiple times. Down to the 4th starting LG. How about Ben's deficiencies?

At the end of the day it seems your criticism is unfair. You decide for yourself or do you have another agenda?

Just looking at the overall Steelers team I understand they didn't have the TEAM to compete with certain teams. The Steelers defeated the Bills and Titans during the regular season. Sometimes NFL games can come down to certain circumstances or matchups.

That being said, and at some point, Steelers fans should just recognize that the Cheifs were the better team. Bengals were the better team. It's ok to admit that other teams were better this year.

Better teams didn't always win championships. That's one reaons why I preach that games boild down to how teams perform on game day regardless of rankings, stats, talking heads opinions, fans perceptions, how a team performed during the season, record, ect. All that ish gets thrown out the window in one game situations.

Players and coaches are coming to win. They don't care if you are the GOAT or going to the HOF. This is simple logic. I have a simple mind so excuse me.

yinz please remember this when the draft comes around
We have enough issues that we should take the best player.

I don't think we should try focus too much on what the position is (even though I have a strong preference for an OL).

I think RB is the only position group we couldn't use a good starter in (before UFA signings anyway).

Next man up.. no excuses right?

Amazes me how anytime another team has injuries its the reason they lose but when Steeler injuries are pointed out Tomlin bashers stick their head in their backsides and act like they are blind.
