I'm not sure why there is so much talk about the Chargers calling a TO, not just on here but I'm seeing it everywhere. As pointed out, there was only like 3-4 seconds on the play clock when they took it. The Raiders then ran the ball, which is what they were doing anyways. The actual issue is the Chargers D gave up like 10 yards what the hell, that is what ended the game essentially, I'm not even sure the Raiders are attempting a FG if their RB doesn't have that kind of run on that play.

Collinsworth was freaking out over it but he was awful last night. He was pretty much begging for a tie.

and an OT game vs Detroit that ended in a tie is the difference between making the playoffs and sitting on the couch
1989 was actually the craziest final regulation week for Steelers. Steelers had to win at Tampa and 4 of 5 teams had to lose.....4 lost the last being the Bengals by the Vikings on Monday Night Football.....I can't remember the NFC team that would have gotten in if the Vikings lost (Packers?) but there were players by each team (Steelers & other NFC team) at a house party & they kept showing each cheer as the team they needed scored LOL. Vikings won 29-21

Then Bubby Brister & company in wildcard actually beat Houston in OT after an incredible Woodson hit & fumble recovery followed by 50 yard Gary Anderson FG & then were up by like 10 vs Denver in divisional but fell apart.

Yeah - he was pretty much talking to Ben and Steelers fans all game long.

Collingsworth fueled my anxiety last night. For my sake, I should have put the TV on mute. Every other sentence from him was “I wonder what the Steelers and fans are feeling right now”.

I was sort of expecting him to say at the end "That's a shame, I was really hoping Steelers wouldn't make it in, Al."

yup, over 2 drives to tie the game, a 4th and 6 and then the 4th and 20 TD plus 2 pt conv to bring the game within 7. Their following drive they converted a 4th and 10, 4th and 10 (defensive holding), 4th and 10 and a 4th and 9 before scoring the game tying TD.

Either way, as a Steeler fan this morning I would like to thank Lady Luck, the Jags, the Colts, coach Staley, Mr Josh Jacobs, the Charger's D, and my boy Carlson.

You all did a solid for Steeler Nation, and I salute you for helping the cause.

Even though it wasn't 4th down, you could probably add in their last touchdown as a pseudo 4th down conversion because time expired during the play. They walked one hell of a tight rope to get to OT.
In response to his pleas, an officer said: "You think we've never arrested somebody that's made national media? ... We deal with the Bengals all the time."

Who would have thought that of the three results we needed, Jax beating the Colts would be the only easy one.

THAT is a truly insane fact !!!!
We are RELAXED through the entire 4th quarter. THAT ONE is in the bag.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Conversely, the Raiders Colts I was relaxed well INTO the 4th quarter just based on odds. I'm watching ya'll getting all paranoid and all.

It took me half way through the 4th to go from zero to panic city.

Add to that the two booth reviews that seemed to be set to screw the Steelers, that one that overturned them turning it over on downs and that 18 yard catch on the sideline which made put it at the 12 instead of the 30 for the last play

When it was 26-14 I was watching and thinking, this is great, getting a tie with a 12 point lead is very improbable. So, of course, what does Herbert do, throws a pick, the Raiders move the ball 30 yards and kick a 50 yard FG to take a 15 point lead and that's when I knew that a tie was probable. The rest is history but the final 8 minutes of regulation and 15 minutes of OT were grueling. particularly since it appeared that multiple times the Raiders had the Chargers stopped only for them to convert 6 - 4th downs and a scramble play 2 pt conversion to tie the game.

                                I love this team.

But they seem hell bent on giving all of us heart failure.
