I'm pretty sure it happens a couple times a week in the NFL that a team will call a time out because the defensive matchup is unfavorable.

The Raiders were moving the ball somewhat, it was third and four and if they don't pick up four yards on that next play the game is over.
A tie was a done deal. Raiders were just running it out.

Most invested I’ve ever been in a non Steeler game in my entire life, maybe even more invested than any Steeler game I’ve watched this year.

      a few things,

1.when renfroe chose to cut out instead of in and made them kick it to make it a 15 pt game, I was like oh boy, rather get a tuddy or punt then make it a 15 point game

      2. The raiders have turned into a team I like, I hated them my whole life but now like them bc of those last 40 seconds of OT, hate them on 4th down though

      3. jacobs, wow, you my friend are the reason we are going, well you and that fool who coaches the chargers

how was that not a face mask in ot

Oh, I must have missed them taking knees and stuff.

Steelers at KC is a much bigger ratings draw than either of the other scenarios. May be Ben's last game. Imagine the ratings next Sunday night. It all makes cents.

The NFL needs to address the fact that games can end in a tie.

Too many sportsmanship questions if they did that. They were in no hurry to go anywhere after crossing the 50.

Just absolute craziness all day. Easily the most insane final Sunday I've ever experienced.

Hey I'll take it move on. Our matchup with the Chiefs is eerily similar to our matchup against the Colts in 05. They beat us something like 26-7 in the regular season and we were 10 point underdogs in the post season.

I felt they were just going to run the ball and if they don’t get it it’s no big deal. They didn’t take a knee but they went turtle once they got the first down.

Steelers were the first to make noise as a 6 seed. Let’s now do it as a 7.

I don't disagree with that, but it was third and four, so a first down and then a last second kick was not out of the question. The bolts clearly weren't calling time out to preserve clock.

I don't get this board some times. Nearly every time Collinsworth is mentioned here y'all talk about what an idiot he is. His take on the time out *was* idiotic and everyone's just taking it on as fact. The Raiders were still running the ball. Yes they were conservative, but the bolts needed to stop them. Maybe someone with a DVR can rewind to give the exact clock situation and down and distance when the timeout was taken but if i recall correct, it was 3rd and 4, there was about forty seconds on the clock and four seconds on the play clock. I don't dispute that the raiders had neutralized the game a bit. But they were still trying to move the ball, albeit with conservative play calls. The time out was not some ludicrous attempt to preserve clock. CC is a moron.

Ask yourself if a team needs 10 to15 yards in the closing part of the game to win it all with the clock winding down, why run 3 straight times? They were in no rush for a reason.

I wonder what Sieg was telling Ekeler after the game.

Were the Chargers thinking that the Raiders may try a field goal with around 30 seconds or so, and if they miss, the Chargers wanted a shot at winning?

I think the Raiders would have punted instead of trying a 55 yard FG. Chargers coach has some explaining to do.
