I think the problem is folks really thought we could fix all of our running problems in one draft. It's fact, not shade. And if you wish to operate under the assumption that he *was* the best back in the draft, then this season is a perfect example of the value of the position and why you never pick one in the first round, especially one who doesn't have the speed to get to the edge or run farther than 25-30 yards without getting caught.
The Chiefs rebuilt their OL and ran on the Steelers with two UDFAs at RB in the 2nd half.
That was never going to happen.
and I would love to know how these other rookies RB’s teams records are that make their selection so much better.Steelers 27

They're better because they didn't waste draft capital on a fungible, replaceable, unimportant position.Comment

You mean the ‘true fans’ that loved those non oline picks the last few years? How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

maybe.. but I do wonder if Ingram feels like his contributions in KC were worthy of a SB ring if KC wins one this year.
I think most players want to play significant snaps to get their ring, not jump on halfway thru the year and get a ring while having pedestrian stats.
Not knocking Ingrams contributions but he is averaging like 1 tackle a game.Steelers 27

better at what? ypc?
I have no idea who half these guys play for which is why I asked.
Just wondering if these are 10 and 11 win teams or 7 win teams like us. If they are 7 or 8 win teams right now its simply a different way of achieving the same result.Steelers 27

Listen to what his coach says about how he allows Jones to play inside. Look at their PPG allowed before and after Ingram, then do the same with the Steelers.maybe.. but I do wonder if Ingram feels like his contributions in KC were worthy of a SB ring if KC wins one this year.

if they kept GB under 14 with Rodgers I would be impressed. But the backup played that game.
Maybe he turns it on in the playoffs but its kinda odd to be the guy who gets credit for someone else making a bunch of plays inside. Right now he is averaging about 1 tackle a game.
I wish we kept him for depth because I think he would’ve been much more impactful for us and not just the guy who helps the other guy make all the playsSteelers 27

I meant the teams did a better job filling the position of RB because they didn't spend a first round pick on one.Comment

A ring was secondary to Ingram's move. He wants another bag before he runs out of time. If he doesn't get the PT, he doesn't get the $$$ next season.maybe.. but I do wonder if Ingram feels like his contributions in KC were worthy of a SB ring if KC wins one this year.

yeah, I think he would’ve signed anywhere but it worked out for him to go to KC.
I wonder if he is truly happy since he still isn’t getting a ton of snaps.Steelers 27
