Team is average at best, and some guys like Ben will not quit, but some calls went their way for sure. A nail biter against a walking emergency ward team is a tad concerning, but all wins count.

You barely heard a "whisper" from some people during our win streak last season.

It's an odd thing when some posters get on here after a win and complain about things that could have resulted in a loss. Guess it depends on your view of the team, its talent and its coaching. If you are one like me that believes this is an average team this season, then any wins against a good team is a good sign. And 4 of their 6 losses have come against teams that are likely to be in the playoffs this season.

I think I saw a stat somewhere that 86 players have suited up for the Titans at some point this season. I'm amazed they still field a team every week. Imagine having Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Chester Rogers as your #1 and #2 WRs. Talent-wise, they are not good on offense, and that has been evident even more since AJ went down as well. That D keeps them in games, and they are a well coached team for sure.

A win is a win, so you take it and move on.

            its not odd, its predictable.

Weird how some are asking why you don’t see people after losses. Most fans celebrate wins.. not losses.

Well, I wasn’t one of those. I was celebrating all through the game thread as we were coming on.

Oviedo is just a guy looking to stir something up. Everyone in here is happy when we win.

we all know that the second we had lost you would have come on here to proclaim once again how "right" you were and treated us to yet another serving of your "last ten years blah blah blah" speech.

I was happy for the nail biter after the Vikings game.

This Steelers team isn't that good, but they can win ugly if things go mostly right.

The D can't stop the run and the offense can't score points.

I think it's surprising that we won yesterday against a well coached team I think is better team than us. Thankfully they didn't have Henry.

Even though our D is bad vs the run, they've kept us in most games. Seems like we play OK vs teams that aren't explosive on offense. If we make them score slowly, we seem to be able to keep the score low.

I think it will be interesting to see if we can keep KC under 20. I think it's a game where the O will need to step up to win.

Folks who know football realize that you are a fan.. giving an honest assessment of where this team is (win or lose). Folks who dont.. will rush on here after a win to call you a "Hater"... because they obviously don't

The Titans not having a respectable offense due to devastating injuries put this match into winnable territory, but that's just the way I see it, others truly don't need to agree. The Titans haven't topped 20 since losing AJ against Houston. Winning the turnover battle 4-0 always helps, as the D made some huge splash plays in the second half. On to next week.

This thread makes a couple things painfully obvious.

                          1. It sucks when the Steelers are this mediocre because fans have nothing better to discuss than calling out other fans on their fandom.

                          2. I suspect the average age of this board is 65+. I feel like IÂ’m in a senior home discussing politics with my drunk uncle.

                          3. Most are beyond self centered and canÂ’t see through their own point of view. ItÂ’s a shane, but thatÂ’s the world now. I personally prefer people who think different than me because I know all of my own thoughts and they get stale. I know everything in the modern world has to be black and white. But in Flippyville itÂ’s cool to be hopeful and frustrated simultaneously. ItÂ’s cool to think IÂ’m an idiot. And other peopleÂ’s thoughts donÂ’t really irritate me.

                          4. Some need to drink more. Others need to cut back. And some others probably need a prescription. And others need a downer. Any time we get irritated with someone, thatÂ’s a negative emotion that in reality only impacts you. Seriously I feel lucky IÂ’m too lazy to hold onto emotions.

                          5. Remember the phrase homosayswhat? I know thatÂ’s not PC, but it was something kids would say growing up to get people to say what. I feel like some on this board are masters of that game and some donÂ’t realize theyÂ’re even playing that game every time they post. Is there a PC version of that game today?

                          6. I think most of us have OCD to a degree. And I feel like it paralyzes some not being able to control the world around them. This stands out to me daily in a lot of other forums in life as everything has become a way bigger deal than it was in the past and everything is so serious.

                          7. Most people I know from the Burgh talk way too much crap about our sports teams and players and coaches. And it bonds us together. Most of us just wanna laugh and have a good time and razz the folks that are the outsiders that just donÂ’t get us. Is it childish. Sure. Are we idiots? Sure. But it brings us together and we can enjoy our escape from all the other jags in the world with our fam. We all get older and life happens, but weÂ’re all more alike than not. And we should just enjoy one another. Does Mike T suck? Yeah, sometimes. Is he good at some stuff. Sometimes. Does our OLine suck? Yeah. Does our D suck? Yeah. But these Steelers are our ugly red headed step child and weÂ’ve got the birthright to agonize over them and hope for better days.

ItÂ’s all good. If yinz wanna call out one anotherÂ’s fandom and that makes you happy, more power to you.

In Flippyville all thoughts and points of view, positive or negative are welcome.

Imagine if they'd had Derrick Henry available for the game. We'd still be trying to count up how many rushing yards he'd gained.

I don’t want to imagine that..

but we faced a healthy Henry last year with our mostly healthy defense and we won.

TN is a good team but they are also a team we tend to play well against because they run a traditional offense.
