    Tomlin has lost the team

Did you see Tomlin throw the players under the bus during the after-game presser? When Tomlin was rightfully talking about replacing players if they can't get the job done a reporter asked if that also went for coaches. Tomlin said "What do you mean? I have not missed a tackle in a long time. We coaches have not............................ He went on and on about how coaches did not play bad it was the players. While that may be true wait until the team sees this.
This on top of the words Ben had for him on the sidelines show me Tomlin is on his way out maybe after next season.

    This doesn’t surprise me.
He is always good at passing the buck.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

IDK what was said between Ben n Tomlin but I'm going to wait this out to year end before pointing out where changes are needed, There will be changes a plenty to no surprise for most of us. Coaches , scouts and obviously plenty of personnel will be with us for the last time in a few weeks.
Sure wish we had more draft capital.

It was the players, they have been running the same defense for years.

If you mean what Ben said to Tomlin on the sideline, it looked like he said "That's four", I think referring to sacks.

Don't know that I'd say Tomlin has already lost the team, but it's fairly obvious the team was not ready for that game last night ... first half was abysmal, from both a coaching and execution standpoint ... just suck it up and admit you didn't do a job that was up to the standard, and move on.

Teflon Tomlin will accept (or receive) no blame, as usual. Hard to imagine many other coaches who get annually humiliated retain their jobs for as long as he has

Isn't that what he usually says after a loss? This is one of my main issues with him, he takes no ownership and thus no growth is made as a coach, he's arrogant, dumb and stubborn all in one. Can anyone here honestly tell me he's grown and become a better coach over the course of his time as head coach of the Steelers? The team sure hasn't gotten better, it's gradually gotten worse in pretty much every way.

Tomlin hasn't lost this team by a long shot. I put a lot of the struggles in not just last night's game, but the entire season on his shoulders. But if you think he has lost his players - or will lose his players over some post-game comments - seek help for your crack addiction. You are projecting your dissatisfaction on men you have never met and who are bonded more than you obviously realize.

Let's not forget that this is Tomlin's defense...not Butler's. He also has his hands in the personnel cookie jar and the handcuffing of Roethlisberger via Matt Canada's play-calling. The buck stops with Tomlin. He has not however, lost this team. Ridiculous narrative.

Never seen no linebackers with safety Marcus Allen the only player in the middle of field with a RB in the backfield. That's on the coaches.

He's lucky he has a Rooney as a boss. Terry Bradshaw was correct when he said he's not a CEREBRAL coach. Rah Rah only gets you so far. Chuck Noll was the complete opposite no rah rah, but all x's & o's.

The only ridicules narrative is you're denial. Tomlin is a raw raw coach and players such as Ben, Haywood and other veterans look to be tired of Tomlins lack of control. Wake up cupcake, read between the lines and watch players vibes, not just words.

Yup - I want a coach who eats steak, not sushi.

and players such as Ben, Haywood and other veterans
I'm sure Wotts, Fitzgerald, and Haydunn feel the same.

                            What if it’s steak tartare?

                              This.

                              Ben is gone.

Lots of guys with expiring contracts (Haden, Juju, etc).

Lots of holes to fill with the cap space people keep talking about.

If we make wholesale changing in the coaching staff, I don't really mind at this point. I wasn't in favor of it to end Ben's career because I thought the massive upheaval of changing coaching staffs would ruin the short window we had left. And I think we can see that in the changes we made at OC from Haley to Fitchner (and Canada doesn't really seem to be an improvement over Fitch at this point).

But I don't think big coaching changes are a cure all. We'll get better results when we have better players.

I think that coaching can have an important effect against fairly evenly matched teams. But the guys we have been putting out on the field this year aren't that good (outside of a few notable exceptions like Cam and TJ, Najee for what he's working with, and PF who has exceeded reasonable expectations for rookie TEs IMO).
