This team is more than a few players away from being true contenders. Offensive line alone is a hot mess

Lol what are you talking about, Schobert was rushing the passer on that play it was quick pass tipped up and he turned around and ran under it.

No the whole point is to win games, whether its ugly or pretty it still counts the same. The playoffs are single elimination it doesn't matter if you come in undefeated, if you lose your out.

Considering the offense is young on the offensive line I disagree. Adding or losing a key player here or there at a position can make a big difference. Just my observations over the years.

Let's assume that's true for the moment.

How do you know he didn't screw up his assignment? Or read something wrong on the play?

Players have agency once the ball is snapped (before that even).

It's not Madden. The coaches aren't controlling the players.

I only brought the Schobert INT play up to illustrate it wasn't coaching that brought us back for the win, but what FOUR straight turnovers by the Titans that mainly were just pure luck not Tomlin & Butler outsmarting the Titans. 9/10 times Taco tips that pass it harmlessly hits the ground. Glad we got the 4 straight turnovers, turned them into 3 FGS because our offense barely moved the ball after every turnover & held on for the win....BUT the Schobert INT might be the only turnover where we actually caused it & made a great play vs say Tannehill just fumbling the ball to us.

So when WE have turnovers...it's the coaching.

When we create turnovers it's not good coaching but
                  pure happenstance?

Still searching for those style point wins? Not sure why it's so difficult for you to understand that this team lacks talent, is young on offense, and is playing a pretty tough schedule down the stretch. A 6-6-1 team just beat a 9-4 team. Take the ugly win and move on to next week.

That's pretty much the deal. Complain during the game. Disappear during the win.

I am all for good football discussions. But the extreme negative that some want to portray around the organization is............

Some people here act like Tomlin made every decision for the organization. That's far from the truth.

I think Tomlin has a say but how many people have control over the final decisions for the organization?

Rooney says I want Ben back for X Y or Z reasons then Tomlin says ok boss I will make it work.

Did you watch the Saints Bucs game tonight?

You think the Saints have the best D in the NFL? The best Defensive players?

I'd say NO to both but their D coordinator Dennis Allen knows how to defend Tom Brady & the Saints gameplan specifically for him & they beat him more than any other team can.

Do you see the Steelers with Tomlin & Butler ever changing up the D vs who they play where it's not as much incredible individual effort but scheme that clearly succeeds vs a good opponent? Where the other team is just frustrated all day because no matter what their offense does , we seem to see it coming & have the defensive play call to squash it? If so i'd love to know who & what? We run about the same D every week no matter the opponent.

I mean today we both passed for about 150...but they ran for 200 & we ran for 35....that wasn't a scheme victory.

they talk about other games and how if it was us we would’ve lost.

trying to turn a victory into a defeat.

defense makes plays and somehow its Tomlin’s fault.

                            what is the real motivation?

I think that people are just frustrated with more than a decade of nothing. Everybody in here wants us to win.

Decade of nothing? In the last decade the Steelers had at the very least 5 opportunities to compete for a championship. Even during the average seasons they had a chance to make the playoffs. I don't believe you realize how difficult it is to win a Championship.

Not everybody in here wants the Steelers to win. Some "fans" get their "jollies" when the Steelers lose for whatever reasons. For example, you get your "jollies" when the Steelers lose because you hate Tomlin. You are generally quiet when the Steelers win. In some sick kind of way you want to be right about Tomlin more than you want the Steelers to win.
