agreed.
I'm definitely glad Najee is on our team, even with the benefit of hindsight there's no other player who was available that I would have drafted instead.Comment

I completely agree with this. But as much as I really like Freiermuth, I can honestly say that I would rather we picked Humphrey...which is exactly what most of us here wanted to do in the first place. I'm really looking forward to seeing Harris run behind a revamped line next year. I mean, I hope it's revamped! Need a dominant center and right guard.sigpic

Have to say I'm impressed. No injuries, no fumbles, just wants the ball. I still don't like the pick but I root for the guy and hope he can dominate for 6-8 years, that would be amazing. How did Najee look in his 16th game after all these touches?
No way he looks like Mendenhall after 4 years. I think he will look like Bettis.. still running over and around people and stiff arming defenders left and right.
Mendenhall? Nah.. he is going to look like Derrick Henry. Inflicting pain and wearing down defenses.
Re: style, the nfl.com scouts likened him to Steven Jackson. Another (smaller) comp I heard on the radio is Thurman Thomas. Neither were game breakers, but were still playmakers and had a nose for the line to gain.Comment

Harris is a carbon copy of LeVeon Bell.Have to say I'm impressed. No injuries, no fumbles, just wants the ball. I still don't like the pick but I root for the guy and hope he can dominate for 6-8 years, that would be amazing.

Both are sizable backs, can run inside and out, can impact the passing game, are loads to bring down and great getting yards after contact. And neither has breakaway speed.
The main difference is Harris is built to be the focal point of the O and a leader. Bell was just a cog in the O.
I’m giving Najee some time. He hasn’t yet had a QB that demands moving defenders out of the box with his downfield passing. He doesn’t have an all world WR that needs 2.5 players to defend him on the outside.
Bell also had some experienced blockers to work with too.
All that said, I think Najee has character that transcends the game. And we’re gonna be looking back on him in 10 years thinking completely different about him. We’re going to be looking back on him as one of the best in the history of the game.sigpicComment

Too easy of a comparison since Bell was just here. Bell's patient style of running was different than Najee's, and I think Bell was a better receiver. He could have legit played WR in the league.Harris is a carbon copy of LeVeon Bell.
