Ingram felt he was better than Highsmith. Coaches disagreed so he requested a trade. I think the story is pretty cut and dry.
I was hoping for something better than a 6th round pick but at least we got something. We’ll see Ingram again towards the end of the season. -
He was an attitude problem. We don't need that going forward. I suspect they were going to cut him anyway. At least we got something.Comment

Not sure he was an attitude problem. Ian Rapaport said he quietly asked for a trade and the Steelers accommodated him.
Just pray for no LB injuries. We are thin once again at a critical position.Comment

Ingram didn’t see the field much after being run over by Boyd for a TD in the Cinci game. Maybe that was enough for the coaches to sit him.Comment

Also the 6th round pick is a slot pick. Not a great return. I’d rather see him dealt to an NFC team if there was any interest.Comment

I am a little shocked as well that we traded him to an AFC team. Maybe we know something.Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!
I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.Comment

I will openly admit that I have a bias here because I don't follow as closely along with other teams in the NFL as I do with the Steelers. So I realize this could be just a perception flaw from where I stand. It just seems that the Steelers have this dilemma creep up with them over the past 1/2 dozen years or so, where they have a disgruntled individual that felt they were going to get more playing time.
I don't know if it's a fair statement...just a feeling.

If people know that he thought he was better than Highsmith, than that tells me he has been running his mouth and crying. The Steelers didn't want him and they took whatever they could get.Comment

Taking it from the player's perspective...it is a 1 year deal for a guy who is heading towards the end of his career (32). I wasn't there for the signing, but if he thought he would be getting 40% of the snaps or so (I am not saying the word "promised") and he feels like he needs to make that final contract. Playing 10 snaps a game won't get that for him.
Yeah I know he signed the deal, however, it's a different time and place in this world and given what happened with Debo, I guess getting a 6th round pick can be considered a better result than the past.

That's disappointing.
I agree that he should have seen that he wasn't going to play much.
Was hoping that we'd get at least a 5th.
Hopefully the Chiefs keep losing games so that their 6th is at least not at the end of the round.Comment

Steelers might not be done making moves before today's trade deadline, per team source.
Eric Ebron anyone?Comment
