These last few games have been encouraging and I’m starting to change my tune on Ben’s wet noodle arm.

While he may not be as fearless as before I believe part of it is by design. When we limit turnovers it makes it a lot easier to stay in games.

We are a methodical ball control offense now. I’m not mad at it.

This idea that we need to score a ton of points is weird. We just to score more points than the team we are playing.

Don't need a ton of points, but GB, CIN, and the Raiders all put up 24 to 27. Have to figure some of these upcoming opponents will perform similarly, and since the offense has eclipsed 23 pts only once all season, one has to figure they'll need more offense upcoming.

True.. but I think not having Watt and 4 other starters on defense also played a part in those early losses.

Not an excuse but I think when our D has its best player we are a different team on defense.

GB was a game we simply lost, still mad about that flag on the blocked FG. A 10 point swing.

I would like to think as the season progresses we will get more aggressive on offense when needed. However, I think our game plan will remain conservative on O with the occasional successful deep ball to DJ.

And by "aggressive", I hope that doesn't mean fake field goals on 4th and 9 at the goalline! LOL

But seriously, the one positive that came out of not having a kicker the rest of that game is that the offense played more aggressive. More urgent. They knew that scoring TDs was the only option. They were never settling for 3 points the rest of the game.

                This is excellent news.

Since we don't score much and don't have many explosive plays, I think it's very important that we limit turnovers.

One of those 3 games was a big road game too. This has sometimes been a big challenge as I think Ben's home / road splits haven't been great in the recent past.

I think having a running game is a big part of this. It's not fair to ask Ben to be the majority of the offense like last year.

The Najee draft pick is working exactly as intended.

Protect the ball and good things tend to happen.

Harris has been very good, particularly in the last few games.

The OL seems to be improving as well.

Hopefully we can peak at the right time.

A game managing QB's top priority has to be no turnovers. Roethlisberger's been lucky a few times, even the one against CLE that was dropped but sometimes luck is a part of the game as well. Also, he's 2nd lowest in air yards so that helps to reduce the risk of an INT as well.
Honestly, to me the difference so far this season from last is; a) better mix of playcalling. I know people were grumbling about playcalling during the CLE game but I thought Canada did a very good job mixing it up. It's was as close to run/pass balance as they have been in a long time, b) better skill position players (Harris, Muth, and DJ w/o dropsies), c) OL improving rather than just hanging on for dear life.

I’m optimistic about Ben and this offense improving.

Remember, some of this offense is new to Ben also, and he’s now looking more comfortable with certain things.
He was able to roll out at least once last game and looked pretty good.
He’s running play-action and turning his back to the defense (maybe you CAN teach an old dog new tricks).
Ben even ran a QB draw for a 2 point conversion (called back by penalty). Have we seen that lately?

Hopefully, with Najee emerging, the young OL improving and better ground game will produce a more balanced offense.

Latest injury report is concerning. Roethlisberger was listed with a whole handful of injuries that had him limited in practice. If the OL can't keep him upright there could be a Rudolph sighting in this game.

Things seem to be working well in the last month or so for the Pittsburgh Steelers' offense, as the Steelers have rebounded from a disastrous 1-3 start to

                              Ben is a drama queen.

That list is horrible. Mahomes slides' 1 spot after being terrible for the last 2 or 3 weeks!? And Roethlisberger slides 4 spots for being a game manager and winning!?! His game isn't pretty at times but he's doing enough for them to win ball games. I'd say he's about 5 spots too low at this point.
