    Gems from Browns Message Board

Apparently Browns fans didn't get the message that Mike Tomlin is the one that doesn't know how to coach:

    The Browns is the Browns.

We once again lost because of the person who was seemingly our hero (Jarvis today).

We once again were hindered severely by the Refs. (The go ahead TD the ball was moving and hit the ground as he landed, the punt I'm not sure if it should've been a fumble cuz they didn't replay it, anyone know?)

We once again were out coached by Tomlin. I hate the guy so much but he really does make the difference in these close games. Stefanski had some supremely terrible calls again, but we still probably win if not for Browns curse.

I'm so numb. I miss even being able to get angry.

We're just not that good. Most overhyped overrated team in the league by far. Oh well.
Would it have killed the Browns to blitz a senior citizen QB a few more times today? I don't care how few points the defense gave up or where it's ranked. Joe Woods plays soft, and it's killing the Browns. On the offensive side, why is Nick Chubb not on the field more in the second half? The team was outcoached and outplayed today, and it's ridiculous.
My thing is who is helping Woods. How does the head man in charge help his really awful defensive coordinator if he's calling plays on offense?

Stefsnski had some house money. He's burned it up.
Just a disappointing effort today by the offense. Drops, fumbles, penalties, missed throws … and BULLIED up front in the run game.

I love the Browns, but we are losers and the Steelers are winners until otherwise

We have a conservative scheme, an average QB, and an average play caller who puts his QB in awful situations acting like they have the lead in the 4th when they don't.

Hard to take shots when all of that is working against you.

MAYFIELD!!! Does not need to stop making commercials....

But I thought, He may have Grown past, the over animated celebration of that first down.

Maybe that's what he needs to be, to keep his edge and keep his job, maybe that is his MOXY

But, Superstars can also keep their emotions in check sometimes.
The, act like you've been their before.
Maybe he needs it, to keep his edge, but He can also keep it in check
    .
Been saying that for the longest. We've been so run dependent that when we can't run, we can't do nothing else right. Our pass game over 20+ yards is nonexistent. We need a balanced attack or else we will see this all year long. I don't see Ski making significant changes so saddle up and ride it out like the rest of us.
I put this game squarely on the shoulders of Stefanksi and his lack of an offensive game plan. It’s like he didn’t know what to do once they contained Chubb.
My second favorite part of the game was Stefanski not going for it on 4th and 1 the following drive. Make up your mind bro. You aggressive or not. And he always elects to punt when his defense has shown no signs of stopping the opposing O.

Let me guess, you gotta do better?

Throw that coach of the year award in the trash.

So funny to see the EXACT SAME KINDS of ridiculous overreaction.

DO THEY REMEMBER what is was like to be a Browns fan and KNOW FOR A FACT, a game against the Steelers is a guaranteed L.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

      TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

I read the same board earlier today. I wonder if they knew they were quoting Chas Noll.

“act like you’ve been there before.”

            so if that'strue.

then i guess stefanski's replacement for the playoff game out coached tomlin.

            amiright?

it was nice to see some dropped passes be a big reason why the browns lost today. refreshing considering last year

What do you think was the biggest reason for the loss in the playoffs?

              Hint: Rhymes with "burnovers".

Coaching matters, but not as much as a -5 turnover ratio (I think it was - 5 anyway, not going to look it up).

Maurkice Pouncey. The Steelers never seemed to recover psychologically from that gift wrapped touchdown on the very first play of the game.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

I agree that Pouncey played a very big role in the loss.

Turnovers for TDs lead to losses in the vast majority of times.

Players gotta make plays (and yes, Tomlin was outcoached in the playoff game in my opinion).

It's always nice to see the opponent screw up. But what I took the most pleasure from is that WE contained Chubb! I didn't expect to see that. VERY encouraging.

stopped a running and team AND established some consistent running ourselves. Both were welcome sights......

The sad thing is our opponent's fans know how good a coach Tomlin is! Other coaches and player in the NFL know how good a coach Tomlin is! NFL media professionals know how good a coach Tomlin is! However, we have fools here who try to turn everything into a criticism of Tomlin.

The good news is the Rooney's KNOW how good Tomlin is and he will be coaching the Steelers for a long time because they don't care what the anti-Tomlin crowd thinks. That is why they run one of the best and most successful franchises in the NFL.
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"

Anti-tomlin CROWD? We have what, 3 or 4 people on a message board that criticize Tomlin on a regular basis? In the grand scheme of fandom, that's an infintesimal percentage of critics. It's in the noise. Every team (outside of Boston - for now) has fans crticial of everything the head coach does until they win a ring.

one of the announcers disagreed with a Tomlin decision and a hater said he hoped the Rooneys took notice… lmao.
