The other thing that I think is encouraging is that we didn't fold as a team after the bad fake FG call that led to our kicker getting injured.

This was true in the bad (to worst ever in a playoff game) starts in the Jags and Browns games too.

Like just about everything on this team, I think it's hard to separate out how much of that is Ben (because he's got the heart of a lion) and how much of that is Tomlin.

For better or worse, I think we'll start finding out next season.

The good news is the Rooney's KNOW how good Tomlin is and he will be coaching the Steelers for a long time because they don't care what the anti-Tomlin crowd thinks. That is why they run one of the best and most successful franchises in the NFL.
3 playoff wins in 10 years is considered success? for who, the browns organization?

It's in the noise. Every team (outside of Boston - for now) has fans crticial of everything the head coach does until they win a ring.
i'm definitely the minority here. but if you think there aren't more steeler fans that question this bozo of a coach on other boards, on other social media sites, you're in for a rude awakening

9 out of 14 seasons Tomlin helped to lead this organization to the playoffs. There were probably one or two seasons where this team was out of the playoff hunt under Tomlin. Plenty of success there for those who choose to recognize success.

My response was with regard to THIS board. Fans from all teams are critical of every head coach in the league when they’re not winning rings in recent history. That’s not some new surprise.

What I found surprising (or not) was that very few posters blamed the players for the loss when clearly the drops, bad passes, and fumbles could have easily made it a different ball game. Goes to show the coaches always get more blame (or credit) than they should.

well, its also the Browns. Its ingrained in them to blame the coach and run him out of town.
