The same bonehead that lets McCloud return punts and keeps Justin Layne on punt returns that hasnt blocked a gunner in 3 years
    agree 100%.

how Danny Smith has kept his job all these years is beyond me.

And doing nothing but criticizing is ridiculous

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

        TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

that's only because Tomlin did it with Cowher's players.

One issue is that some people use some of the bad or questionable coaching decisions as a basis to negatively define Tomlin as a coach. The positives far out weigh the bad with Tomlin. The man can coach contrary to what people believe. He will never be perfect.

Everyone can be criticized because no one is perfect. No one gets every decision right. I think Tomlin made the wrong decision not taking the points. That doesn't mean Tomlin is a bad coach.

But we have people that live on the extreme negative end of things. It's as if they can ONLY focus on the negatives.

Ultimately, Tomlin helped to coach this team to a win today on the road missing a key factor in the kicking game.

That does not seem to "let him off" of that stupid call.

I got no issue with criticism of a call or coaching of a game. I'VE DONE THAT TOO.

How good is he as a coach? He as good as his record.

exactly, that's conveniently being overlooked by the Tomlin haters.

Well said. A coach that is right far more often than he is wrong.

we could replace him with you all those years and you might have 130 wins

put me there with you and we would have more then 149

I'll take the special teams coaching job.

I don't think I could do worse than Danny Smith.

the Tomlin sucks manual specifically states that you must do all you can to turn a win into a loss by focusing on 1 or 2 calls.
