If we finish 11-6 or better who knows what the FO will do regarding the QB position.

Everyone wrote us off after the losing streak. If we find a way to beat the Ravens (which is highly likely given how we defend LJ) the narrative will flip.
    X2!!

I don't need to read any further or add my two cents, as Dizz perfectly captured my thoughts on the topic.

Maybe that means we're bad enough to draft a QB the following draft.

Or maybe we get lucky and one of those two guys turns out to be an above average QB.
I see that your looking and planning for down the road like 3-4 years down the line; much appreciated. You want that franchise QB of the future to secure us for 10 plus years. But I don’t see us in that bad a shape at the end of the year to put us in position to get that QB in the draft. If we are going to get a crack at that QB, we’ll have to trade up and pay through the nose. Abs quite frankly, is there any QB you see in college worth that? None that I can see right now.

if only we had followed your advice and traded ALMOST all of our draft picks to move up from #24 to #1 and take Trevor Lawrence.

          11-6? Not a chance.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

Enjoy the ride? We beat Seattle because we we at home and they are without Russel Wilson. It took overtime to do it, otherwise we are 2-4 Few players are doing well. You're not going to win many games scoring 20 points, and like I said we caught Seattle down. A blocked Punt beat Buffalo and you can't count on that.

I'm not giving up on the season, but I can see how it ends.

while its fun to take wins away or add them based on what didn’t happen we have to accept reality.

We blocked a punt which helped us win the Buffalo game. It wasn’t a fluke or luck. The punter didn’t slip or drop the ball. Our ST’s made a play. We beat Buffalo.

Same with Seattle. OT, backup QB… its not our fault Seattle couldn’t protect Wilson from Aaron Darnold.

Funny how you bring up other teams misfortunes but ignore the 5 injured starters we had in the second game vs Vegas.

2 of our losses were without our best defensive player TJ Watt.

and all that matters is scoring more points than the team we are playing against.

While its usually better to draft a QB in the top 10 its possible to find a franchise QB later in the first round.

If Pickett or Ridder could both pan out.

Not sold on Howell but who knows. It could simply be the players around him aren’t that good and he is similar to Dak Prescott who I never would’ve thought prior to seeing him in preseason.

I love that narrative that the Steelers only beat Buffalo because of a blocked punt. The Steelers were up 3 at the time and forced a punt from deep in Bills territory. The blocked punt puts them up 10, but even without it the Steelers are likely getting the ball back close to midfield. The Steelers scored on every drive in the second half except for their final end of game drive. It wouldn't be a stretch to think that with good field position the Steelers could have eaten up some clock and driven for a FG. That would have put them up 6. The way the D played that should have been enough anyway - without the blocked punt, especially considering the Bills could not score a TD in the second half.

Joel must have lost money on that game since he keeps bringing up how lucky we got.

Thing is.. our D is the best unit we have and they balled the hell out in that game.

Wait, what? Can't count on players to make plays?? BAL has two more wins than the Steelers because of a fumble recovery and an NFL record breaking FG. Players are paid to make plays.

These guys are so frustrated because we won before the bye week it has them posting crazy.

I believe Disco had his thread deleted because he tried to give Hairball credit for the 2000 SB victory in an attempt to bash Tomlin.

Tuitt hasn’t made any plays all season according to Joel. Little does he know Tuitt hasn’t suited up yet this year.

We are 1-1 on the road this year.. which is a clear sign we aren’t good on the road this year.

I’m entertained by the ignorance and impending doom by the pessimist.

that's what I don't understand about the Negative Nellies on this message board.

we wait all year for the NFL to start up again, and when it does all certain posters do is whine and complain about our team.

but they whine all off season too.. lol.

they are the ones who disappear after wins but post heavy after losses.

They minimize the wins and use the word “luck” as our crutch but losses??? Those are clear signs of incompetence and evidence of a bad team.

Only saw Corral play 1 game and haven't seen Rattler play just highlights but saw Cincy play once and that 9 was just outstanding. His deep ball accuracy is special. His ability to hit guys in stride n let them max the yack is a major box he checks for the next level.
I'm sure his draft stock will keep rising so where it is today I don't know n where it ends up in the spring IDK but for me he has off the chart potential. Would sure be ironic if we take a second franchise qb out of the state of OHIO!
