Sorry to read this news. The guy I like, Sam Howell is having a bad year. We will have a top 12 pick based on how we are trending. Spener Rattler?
Some bad news. Its not good qb class.

Some bad news. Its not good qb class.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.
Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.
*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***Tags: None -
Why draft a QB and put him behind this OL? Do you want them to copy the Jets fiasco? And look at Lawrence behind his sorry OL.
Everyone agrees the OL needs fixed. Dotson last season, Moore and Green this season. Find a RT and another guard next draft. Also, I suspect there will be FA QBs floating around after this season that could be worth a look. Not out of the question that Watson and Rodgers aren't on their current teams. -

I'd be all for getting Watson for an extremely reduced costComment

Hard No. He has an arm but not the head or decision making skills. His own home crowd was audibly screaming for his back-up throughout his last game. He almost lost to Tulane and they barely beat unranked WVU.sigpicComment

When in doubt, look to the MAC. A name to remember is Dustin Crum at Kent State.
I also like Desmond Ridder at Cincinnati.Comment

Now, what I hate is hiring an untested OC and offensive line coach to coach the linemen and put together an offense with these young guys. The Steelers needed experience and leadership somewhere for the linemen and there isn't any. Canada may become a good OC but not with this group, he probably would have benefited from an experienced line. So, untested OC and line coach, rookie LT and C, promising but under performing (so far) LG, high draft pick but bounced around RG and whatever Chuks is right now is the recipe for a bumpy ride to start. I have faith they will all figure it out and begin to work as a unit, stop with dumb penalties and gel as a unit by years end.
Hopefully, that, at least has the Steelers in the hunt for a playoff spot.

Its too difficult to determine where guys like Moore and Green will end up as players because they don't have any veterans to learn from, lean on or anchor the line. The Steelers need them to be those guys and they're rookies for crying out loud. I'd be willing to bet that putting Moore and Green on a line with Villanueva, DeCastro, and Pouncey and we'd all be happy with their play because the vets would be able to provide leadership and experience. Until these players all get that experience, there will be inconsistencies, penalties and sacks of Ben. I'm still hopeful that these young guys get it and begin to put it together, its called growing pains.
