While the cap hit is $8 mill I’m pretty sure we let guys like Dupree, Nelson and Hilton walk because we had to make room for Watt’s contract.

When you sign a contract that big no one wants to see him in street clothes watching our D get shredded.
We could have signed any of those guys to 1 year contracts (with dummy years) this year.

That could be less true in the future. Especially next year when Watt's number will jump (although we'll probably do a big restructure) and we will have a fair amount of dead money from the dummy year contracts we signed this season.

Hope this is true provided we aren't rushing them back.

It depends on the severity of the groin strain. These take anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months to heal.
        Trolls are people too.

Would you sign a contract with dummy years if you were looking for security?

Just announced on Twitter that Watt is out for the Bengals game. Our secondary is in trouble.

Yup, I had the 4 month variety, but TJ did not appear to suffer one like that. I give him a month.

Cinci has weapons. Our O can't score 20. You don't win many games in today's NFL if you can't put more than 20 on the board.
