    We still have Sutton.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Personally, don’t care either way but won’t be surprised one way or the other.

      You big dummy!!!
Exceptions are granted to players that have done something. That ain't Layne.

Feels like we burned that bridge. But we did bring VW back after a parting that seemed kind of d!ckish (with us releasing him late even though it seemed like an obvious move that was required for cap space).

And Sutton, who will get a shot on the outside (where he seemed to play OK as a spot starter)

I think we might do this too. But I think it will require a cut or another dummy extension (Haden?) because my understanding is that all of our current cap space is spoken for.

If they cut him, they could probably recoup any signing bonus he may have gotten in his rookie deal (probably not much if anything). There is probably language for forfeiting stuff if you're an idiot and you get arrested.

I know.. but given how thin we are at the position I have to wonder if he was a player we had hopes for this year

My guess is that he won't be afforded that benefit since he got passed on the depth chart by a UDFA last year.

I would have said that he stock probably couldn't get much lower...then this.

Yeah, meant to list him, too. Still, while he has subbed in a lot in subpackages, he is to a great extent unproven.

I think they did to some extent, or they wouldn't have let Nelson go

so is this Ben's or Tomlin's fault?

yeah.. not saying he is a gem but I’m sure we are/were relying on him for a bit of depth/insurance.

Another relatively high draft pick wasted at CB..
Imagine if Artie Burns, Senquez Golden, Justin Lane etc etc actually lived up to expectation..

I had high hopes for Layne when we drafted him, but it seems he just didn't have it between the ears.

I think most of us wanted to see what he was going to do this season. Oh well.
