I predict that only one HC will will the Super Bowl next year...the other 31 won't. So he is the only coach who shouldn't be fired...according to some people's warped logic that winning a Super Bowl is the only metric.

100%. If were Cleveland, maybe I could get him just being happy with competitive football. This is the Pittsburgh Steelers. We have a rich history and a higher standard. I expect to win playoff games, especially with the talent we have. We the team wins 8 or 9 games this season, I'll check back in with Ovi to see if he's still happy.

We used to have that tradition. Now we are only known for keeping HCs for a long time.

Everybody knows that I said 4 years ago that Tomlin would never win a ring again. No limit of time other then his remaining tenure as coach was stated.

I'm going to say this again...I don't hate Tomlin. I"ve not criticized Tomlin in a loong time. Yes I"ve criticized him in the past, But as of late, I've not said a word about him.

I was on the message board during the Cowher years and I used to give him a pass because he had everything but a QB. I never called for Cowher's head. Not once.

I'll chime in on one thing. I think teams win and lose based on simple ingredients: 1) do they have enough talent and 2) do the assistant coaches have good creativity in offensive and defensive play-calling, based on the talent they have, and 3) is the head coach a good "CEO".

I personally never called for Cowher's head because IMO, it was never *him*. The losing seasons were due to injuries/lack of talent and transitions of coordinators. For example: Chan Gailey knew how to use Kordell - not another coordinator did. Everyone else wanted to make him a pocket passer - he'd be a stud in today's NFL. Once BC figured that out, he got him a new QB...

At the same time, I've never asked for Tomlin's head because IMO, it's not *him*. He's been searching for an OC every 2-3 years of his tenure. We all had our preferences for who should have gone/stayed, but that's another story... Between pockets of subpar talent (db's have been crap til recent history), questionable OC's and Tom Brady's never-ending career, it's kinda hard to win a SB the last decade couple of decades.
