Interesting cat. I like him already. Well see how he works out, but a 4-5th round block on a TE who can really block in a need for the Steelers.
A TE who can really block in this draft. Tommy Tremble

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.
*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***Tags: None -
to get a link to work you have to put in the film roll that says "insert video" next to the "insert image" and smiley emoji. -

In my mind Tremble should really be player we try to get. According to where the other TEs go before him, it may take our 3rd round pick. That said, he’s a great blocker that would help our running game a lot and has some upside as a receiver. Pair him with Ebron for one year and then let him be the #1.Comment

Health Miller wasn't a hall of fame level player for us, but boy do we need one like him. A TE who can block, run and catch.
I ponder Ebron's value to this team. Personally I think he's a weak blocker, has iffy hands, and is bit of a me first, team 15th type of guy. He's just not a " Steeler ". Strictly my opinion and Detroit beat writers had some negative stuff to say on his tenure there.
If I were GM, I'd gladly trade Ebron for a 3rd round pick and we'd be lucky to get it as he's a 8.5 million on the cap this season, which another team would have to absorb, and is a free agent next year. Share shift that money and get a really good OL player in free agency.Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I like him after we pick a Tackle. Round 4 would be nice. This player has caught my eye. The best blocking TE in the draft. That's is old school and we need such a player for running game. The fact that he has big play ability for defenses that sleep on him make him more valuable.

That said, from a business perspective, because of the retirement of MacDonald it is hard to cut him until you have at least something you might replace him with, and our cap situation dictates that will likely only come through the draft. Draft Tremble then trade Ebron for another pick?
Lots of interesting things to ponder this offseason.Comment

Oh, and yeah, I’m solid on picking an OT and a C before I pick a TE. I am all for trading back to get 4 picks in the top 100.Comment

I don’t understand why Ebron is treated like this on here. I had serious doubts about his hands but he played well.
This idea that our TE to be a Heath Miller clone needs to stop.
We aren’t getting another Heath, Big Snack or Hines.. let go and let God.
I agree we need another blocking TE but Ebron is a weapon. No one should care what bad franchises say about players who leave. Ebron could probably right a book about how bad the Detroit FO has been while he was there.Steelers 27
