something like 177 or 155 Million( I CAN'T REMEMBER EXACT $) under the cap, when you compare it to this coming year where the whole cap should be min of 170M... that is a whole lot of money to spend...

I just think it is time to stop kicking the can down the road. I don't care if Ben plays, retires, or gets cut. But his cap hit is jeopardizing the signing of our own young players (i.e Fitz, TK). Father time is undefeated. I'd rather take the hit next near and be out from under his hit in 2022. You have MR and Haskins here, how are we going to find out if we need to draft a QB in 2022 if these 2 keep riding the pine.

In 2022 there are currently 17 players under contract.

In his one start Rudolph outplayed Roethlisberger head to head against the Browns. Who knows what he could do in a full season.

in the season before, he started (what) 8-9 games and didn't look like he can be a future starter on a good team.
thats a much better sample size then the 1 game he started this year. which IMO cleveland knew they hd in the bag. didn't they only play chubb in the 1st qr? maybe that's how the defense kept it close
