Thank you Pouncey. Lots of great years of football and entertainment for us fans was greatly appreciated.
While I'd rank Pouncey #3 in our history of Cs behind Dirt and Webby, I think he was the quickest of the 3 at getting to the 2nd levels and making extra blocks downfield that you wouldn't commonly see linemen make.
I think it was clear this was coming. I think Ben knew and it's why he wanted to win for him now. I'm not sure Ben is ready to leave even though he said these 2 would go out together. Just a hunch.
As an aside, I got to chat with him for a few minutes at training camp one year and he was a nice guy that day with a big smile and in 5-10 mins I noticed how well liked he is by his teammates.sigpicComment

I wonder would Ben be next, he always said that he wouldn't play without him.http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2...eelers2010.jpgComment

Lolley confirmed it on the drive, that he did not report that Pouncey is officially retiring.
But he did confirm that it was implied by Rothlessberger that Pouncey has played his last game.

If you listen to the recording from them sitting together after the game on that bench, yeah, I'd come to the same conclusion.6- Time Super Bowl Champions......

Past time, he is crap. There was another game some time back that he did the same snap over the head and also rolled one back in the same game. He got pushed back into our RB on 3 rd down last night also stopping a drive. He has lived on past glory.Comment

$6,475,000 dead $$$When an NFL player retires, all of the dead money on their contract counts against the current year’s salary cap. As far as the salary cap goes, player retirement is treated the same as if a player were cut or traded by the team. Any non-dead money is forfeit upon retirement and does not count against the team’s cap, but the dead money remains.
