Thats not even close to what he said. Nobody said its right to disresepect the police but you are a public servant and it sometimes comes with the territory. So if you cant handle it then you probably shouldn't be a cop because the consequences could be dangerous or deadly, I think even most cops would tell you that.

While Chicago was roiled by another day of protests and looting in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, 18 people were killed Sunday, May 31, making it the single most violent day in Chicago in six decades, according to the University of Chicago Crime Lab. The lab’s data doesn’t go back further than 1961.
From 7 p.m. Friday, May 29, through 11 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 25 people were killed in the city, with another 85 wounded by gunfire, according to data maintained by the Chicago Sun-Times.Comment

Actually, I' not so sure we are far off from that now in Chicago. I'm not sure cops even step foot (or car) in those areas with shootings all the time. It already is kind of like cops have bailed from those hoods, too dangerous for them to even be there.Comment

You dont think people protest for peace or for safer communities? Or are suggesting there should be a protest everytime a murder is commited.Comment

Have you read up on the experiment in Camden NJ? That's what a weak police force gives you.Comment

People want every city to turn into that? How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

I guess people wonder why you don't see the protests, riots, looting etc because of these everyday killings but lose their mind when a police officer kills someone once in a great while. How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?Comment

Lol....nice spin job. Only hear what you want and lie about what you said.
So now you are telling me the inmates can't use the library.
How do you know that?
Hey, how about this one. My tax dollars go to those prisons and prisoners so they dont deserve anything but disrespect and hate. Same as the people receiving wellfare.
That's exactly what you said about the cops....Steelers 27

The protestors I am reading about are shouting about police reform, or abolishing them, laws, limiting their powers etc. I suppose if that somehow leads to a peaceful community then you have a point.

If it leads to better results I’m all for it.
The problem in Minneapolis and some other places is the cops and the union fight hard for cops that should be terminated.Steelers 27

and real talk. That has nothing to do with cops killing unarmed Black people or unarmed people in general.
There is a white man in Texas who screamed I can’t breath and cops laughed at him while he died. I’ve heard people ask why aren’t Black people marching for him.
No. the real question is why aren’t white people marching for him?
People love to bring up cities with murder and use it as some type of proof. It’s America. Black and White people commit crime and murder and it’s mostly against people in close proximity who look like them. This has NOTHING to do with police using excessive force. It’s a diversion tactic.
when America gets attacked on 9/11 no one says “what about American on American crime. It’s a lazy argument.Steelers 27

I think whatever succinctly clarified my comment. Nationwide outrage for the murder of one vs crickets for the murder of two dozen in one city.Comment
-
The outrage is about the systemic oppression of an entire race of people. It was sparked by a murder because it was performed a member of an institution designed to protect people. People don't generally protest after every murder because the act of murder is already illegal and most everyone already stands in opposition of murder.Comment
