You also know your relishing the loss of Ruthless is why Hawaiian hates you. (yes, while I like the guy, I too am tiring of his following your every comment)

You had Ruthless on "ignore" when he was here, why do you bring him up now that he is gone. Dude, you got what you wanted...to the detriment of this forum.

Maniac, you just touched a sore spot. I am going to explain why.

Fact is when I left, I never said all of "why" I left.

There is a core here that goes WAY back. We have enjoyed talking Steeler football going back to the Tribune forum. We are talking 20 something years, early days of forums period. We could disagree without being disagreeable.

It is different now. People who tend to "like" the team feel unwelcome ON A FAN SITE! That is crazy.

My friends of 20 plus years began getting banned, others began leaving.

I complained about vulgarity and "I" got a warning suspension? At that point I emotionally detached from this place.

    All the drama....its ridiculous.

    And I got busy.

Corona means more time. When we have something like the draft...we can have real football talk. That is why I'm back.

But comments like this one....yeah it reminds me of is a part of of the reason why I left.

BTW, Tiproast doesn't leave.....he goes months without posting.

In truth he stopped posting long after Ruthless left.

Tiproast stopped right around the time that Captain Lemming stopped posting.

WHAT IS THE IMPLICATION OF THAT!

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The problem with this board is a chosen few have taken over and suffer from some serious narcissism.

Captain, I know you consider them your friends. That's why I ask you. And I knew why you left. You just didn't say it and didn't want a long, drawn out back and forth.

And no......they both quit at the same time. I was monitoring it. Sorry that is a sore spot with you. Since it bothers you, I won't bring it up again.

Enjoy the convo with you even thou we don't see eye to eye on everything. I appreciate that you have the maturity and understanding that adults can agree to disagree but still have dialog.

We still cool. Thanks for the respect for where I’m coming from. Truly appreciated.

That said, this site has plenty of tools. You can even see the last time someone “read” the site without posting.
This is how I know without question that “whatever” and “squidkid” are one and the same.

Ruths last post was in October. His last time on the site was November 2019.

Tiproasts last post was in January. He continues to visit, even as recently as this month.

Again I’ve been here since this forums inception. I know the patterns. Tiproast frequently goes months without posting since as you know he is not an actual Steeler fan. Despite having every opportunity to gloat dude has been respectful, and gives a nice outside view of the Steelers and of course will occasionally defend his team a little when we start bashing them. But IÂ’m sure he spends most of his time in Pat forums so one would not expect him to post all the time.

Dude has frequently expressed his respect for Steeler fans and our legit football knowledge. He just enjoys talking football with us. He appreciates our history and the our football culture. This is why many here tolerate and even enjoy his presence.

Frankly, in addition to prior patterns, I wonder if the increasing animosity towards him is a reason why he hasn’t been posting. On some level I get it, if you have no history, seeing the avatar is off putting. Why would a Pats fan hang around a Steeler site if not to stir trouble? In the past I’ve private messaged him and I think he knows the site will tolerate him in small doses so he doesn’t push it.

For now sure. But what I said originally about the time drain was true. I got COVID time now, and its the draft.
I’ll likely disappear again when things are normal...hopefully, I’ll be back to celebrate SEVEN.

How about talking about McFarland a little bit more and how he is purported to be too small by some.
The perhaps greatest running back in NFL history, Barry Sanders was 5-8, 203
Devonta Freeman, a featured back is 5-8, 206
Deangelo Williams as has been mentioned was about 5-8 1/2, 207, which is about what McFarland is.
Kevin Faulk a very good change of pace back was 5-8, 202.

I am actually getting more excited about McFarland, seeing that he is far from too small. In some respects his size
is ideal if you have speed, and he has that. If he gets a little bit of room to run, he can rack up big gains.

OK, Phile, let's not go insane. You didn't just mention AM in the same breath as one of the greatest football players to ever suit up (Sanders) did you? I feel safe in saying AM will never resemble BS ever.

But I will say, I just found out AM had a bad ankle sprain at the beginning of the season and he said he was hurt from then on, so, I am a little more optimistic that he could end up contributing in a real way...possibly. "So, you're telling me there's a chance?"

                            Obviously he is no Sanders.
But he SURE looks like fast Willie to me on tape.
I see that as his legitimate potential.
I’d take that as a 4th rounder any day.

People hating on Cowher back then. I was defending HIM back then just like I do Tomlin today.
Called a “Koolaid drinking Lemming” for defending Cowher.

Thus was born “Captain Lemming” for this forum.

The point is his size is not a negative. That was the original knock against him. The odds are long that he is another Barry Sanders,
He is his own person. but he has legit speed and a great running style. He could turn out to be a real find. People saying he duplicates
Kerrith Whyte. I strongly disagree. I think McFarland has much more potential.
