Please. We saw the starting five against the pats and Seahawks and they were terrible. Some don’t want to admit also that losing Munchak was a bigger loss then we thought.

We need some real options for next year on that O-line.

And Ramon Foster is done. Pouncey is just a notch above him.

I think Kerrith White is a change of pace guy... Looks like now he and Samuels will be competing for that 4th and final RB spot

We could have went LB with that pick , CB, .. just wasted a pick on McFarland.

Round 4, No. 124 overall: Anthony McFarland Jr., RB, Maryland

My take: The Steelers opted against taking a running back on the second night of the draft, despite some big names being available. Instead, they address the position on the third day with McFarland Jr., a teammate of Mike Tomlin's son, Dino, at Maryland. The Steelers have been vocal about their confidence in Conner as a starting running back, despite his injuries, and drafting McFarland solidifies that stance. In McFarland, the Steelers are getting a guy who will push Benny Snell Jr. and Jaylen Samuels for snaps as a backup, but not be a featured back. He's a smaller back at 5-9, 198-pounds, and his production took a dip from a 1,000 yard season as a redshirt freshman to just 614 yards his sophomore year. With quality interior linemen still available at this pick, it's surprising the Steelers went this route.

The Steelers' first pick of the draft adds Chase Claypool, another big-body receiver. Pittsburgh needs to further address its offense later.

Luckily it looks like we got a quality interior lineman with Dotson later on in the 4th.

He had ankle injury last year...

1,000 back in big ten as a freshman not bad...

I remeber seeing him going crazy against OSU D... so he might be a good pick

As has been stated... Tomlin's son was a teammate of McFarland. Gotta be something to the pick

Can't see this guy getting many touches this season with our current stable of RBs. But just as I speculated with the Claypool pick, this might not be about our offense this season, but next. They might be figuring to let Conner go and then, in 2021, everyone else moves up a spot.

Absolutely Buzz... Colbert said they were looking at these picks in terms of the roster at the end of next season... in my mind that tells me Conner and Juju are as good as gone.

                        Dri Archer 2.0

                        Been down this road before.

Colbert needs to stop trying to find the next Darren Sproles. He isn’t good at it.

Mcfarland has no impact on Conner... he is a scat back complementary back.

Samuels is the one to go...

Also, the kind of "breed" who won't make the field because he will get Ben killed, as he doesn't pass pro. Can he learn? Possibly, but until he does, you won't see him much. No NFL teams play RBs who don't pass protect. It's suicide. Plus, in short yardage he gets destroyed. Those are some limitations. And is this kid any better than that RB Whyte, we picked up from Chicago last season?

Ouch, that's going to leave a mark, because it is so true. Don't forget Chris Rainey. They both worked out so well.

To be fair, McFarland is short like those other guys, but he's 208 pounds, not 180, or whatever. He has a little more size than those previous Colbert FAIL picks.
