Look at the last few drafts now.

I don't want to cover later picks that are long shots to begin with. Not really significant. But....
2019 (still too early to make final conclusions, but we've learned some stuff).
1 - Bush. I think he's struggled some, like most rookies, but I find it likely he will become a top player. He has the physical talent, natural instincts, football IQ, and (as important as anything) the pure desire to want to hit people. I'm not ready to put him in the Hall of Fame just yet but I find it likely he's gonna be a probowl level player for years.
3. DJ. I didn't like this pick. I thought we had bigger needs and he was from too small a school. Happily, I think I was wrong. This kid already made noise as a rookie with bums throwing him the ball, and with no one on the field to pull coverage away, like JuJu. Therefore, I like his odds of being a solid player.
3b. Justin Layne, CB, MI State. Now, here's a player where we just don't know, he needs time to develop. I am glad they took a CB prospect within 3 rounds, he is really long, fast enough (4.5) but what we don't know is if he has the instincts and desire. Too early to say.
4. Benny Snell, RB, KY. I am comfortable saying this was a good pick already, for a 4th rounder. I think he will fit in a rotation for the next 3 years. He may not end up a legit NFL starter (but he could) but I think it's likely he will end up being a good value.
2018
1. Edmunds, S, VT. I didn't like the pick then, I don't like it now. I still say he could/should have been a 3rd or 4th round pick. He has a nice size/speed ratio but there is more to football than just that. He seems like he lacks instincts. Fitzpatrick showed us what a safety with instincts plays like. I'm not saying Edmunds is a bum, but I feel they reached for him and something tells me Tomlin, once again, put too much stock in a player from the state of VA. Among the players still on the board at Edmunds pick: Sony Michel, Lamar Jackson, Nick Chubb, etc. A blown pick.
2. James Washington, WR, OKS. I wasn't sure about him at the time, but I think he will end up quite good. I know a lot don't agree, but I think the trio of JuJu, JW and DJ will do just fine. James has strong hands, is powerful and is a gamer.
3. Mason Rudolph. Not a fan. He just doesn't have "it." Backup NFL QB at best. But, I also don't mind taking a shot. You have to keep shooting in order to score. Mason was a miss, but keep taking shots at finding a QB until you obviously don't need one. Look at 1980-2004. All those years of trying to win with subpar QBs. Don't let that happen again. Keep shooting.
2017
1. TJ. Home run. How did he fall to us? Love everything about him.
2. JuJu. Got beat up last season, hard time. He will be back. He's already shown he is a legit player.
3. Sutton, CB, TN. Not sure. Looking like a miss.
3b. James Conner. Nice story and all, thought he was taken too high, knew he would likely be hurt all the time, and I don't see that changing.
2016
1. Artie Burns. Pure and unadulterated bust. You pay your braintrust millions to pour over film, stats, etc. for a year and they screw the pooch this badly on a first round pick? They fell in love with his "taking care of siblings" story way too much, claiming it showed how mature he was already. Meanwhile, part of his downfall is his immaturity. Hey Colbert, next time you think you are the "smartest guy in the room" look back at this draft "effort" of 2016.
2. Sean Davis. Thank the heavens the Redskins signed him, one of the few teams that don't realize this guy stinks. When your first two picks in a draft are this bad, you become the Browns. What a stinking pile of steaming doo doo.
3. Hargrave. A good value, now we need them to do it again.
4. Hawkins. Good.
