The Offense should be fine next year with a just decent healthy Ben . Our D will make things easier.
We dont need Ben to throw 40 times per game . We need a stud running game .
I want to make Jaylen Samuels a slot WR. The guy has great hands and in space can make moves. He sucks as a RB.
So , I would also trade Ju Ju .. Yes he is good , but is he 16 mil per year good ? That`s kinda money he will want. We could most likely get a 2nd round pick for him or let him play year and walk for a 4th comp.

Ben needs to get it on with Washington and Johnson on outside and J Sam in the middle. All those guys are ready to break out and dont cost much.

I would try to move Conner in a trade the guy is "fragilie " maybe get a 5th for him . Use 2 rd pick to find stud RB, then have Snell and Whyte plus Nix.

Welcome to the board, but yea, you are thinking like a rookie. Juju and Conner aren't going anywhere.

Why keep Conner ? Try to get a draft pick for him in a trade . He is injury prone . Ju Ju has the name and game but he isn't worth the market price . Get high pick for him . I`m no rookie been reading this website and others for years . Steelers strong since 1977.

Conner won't receive anything as for draft picks, maybe 5th or later.

On the other hand, JuJu ( I love the dude) might be worth trading, if he can return us a 1st or a 2nd and addition draft picks. He might be worth trading especially with J. Washington and DJ18 developing.

Because he's the best back on the team and he's super cheap.

Lots of people wanted to not pick up Bud's option. But he has been great in the last year of his deal. And we had to pay $9m for Bud.

Conner will cost us less than $1m I think.

A cheap, productive player is way more valuable than a large ring pick that probably doesn't make the roster.

I could understand not extending Juju, but I want him on the team next year for sure. We need talent in O.

His point is you only have Conner at his deal for one more year, move him while he still has value and draft a stud in the second round. So you replace Conner with possibly a better back and you reset the Rookie contract.

My point is that his trade value is low and Conner's production vs cap hit is still pretty high (even oft injured).

Other teams know he's hurt a lot and only has 1 year left on his contract. I don't think they're offering picks on the first 2 days of the draft.

And we'll be pretty strapped for cap space next year. We need good cheap players.

I'm not saying you get a first or second rounder, I think you get a 5th, but if you don't move him and then you don't sign him, you end up with nothing. So you if your not planning on giving him that second contract wouldn't it be better to get something for him.

I think having 1 year of a guy who's probowl level when healthy is better than a pick that probably doesn't make the team.

I'm against extending him, but letting him play out his contract feels like a good call to me.

yup, we could get close to the same round we could trade Conner for with a comp pick and have use of him while he's still on his cheap rookie contract for another year.

No way we let Conner go prior to the end of next year. We are basically in a 1 year window with Ben. Conner is a good RB on the cheap. Yea, hes been a liability health wise. Its worth the risk for the price
