Not thrilled about the Andy Dalton idea. Not ready to give up on our two young backups yet.

Im indifferent to this as well, but he would be a great back up plan IF Ben can't go, IF Rudolf shows no improvement.

          Another option might be Flacco!

I wonder how many additional games we would've won if Flacco played for us this year?

With this OL play I can not really say ...

Flacoo should be a cap cut - FA the likes of Dalton next year....

If we could have turn back time and had a vet through FA or trade... it would have been Tyrod Taylor... he is Mr. NO Turnover, mobile ( with this horrid OL play perfect), and good arm.

NONE! Id be greatly disappointed if we ended up with Flacco! Flacco was good at throwing up 50-50 balls deep down the field.

Our O-line is not horrid, last year our running back was a pro bowler, 2 wideouts over 1,000 yards and our QB threw for over 5,000 yds and 34 tds. Now this year we need to fire the O-line and our O-coordinator? No way, the problem is simple, its the QB. How are folks not ready to give up on Duck but they are ok with firing the rest of the offense?

                    Too much Madden.

Fire the coach and get rid of the OL.

Lol, maybe thats the case. It's a well known fact that in NFL if you don't have a good QB then you dont have a good offense, no matter how good your skill position players are or your o-line, or your coordinator. Thats why the QBs get paid so much, its the most important position in maybe all of sports. If it was a simple as just having a good o-coordinator and o-line then the QB would be no big deal, teams would pay big money for a coordinator and draft o-lineman as #1 picks.

When we see clips of OL letting rushers in nearly untouched, I don't know how you blame the QB. When RBs are being tackled for loss, I don't see how you can blame the QB.

Because they are bringing more guys than we can block. Its the QBs job to recognize the blitz presnap and slide the protections or motion the back or the TE. Its also the QB's Job to call his hot route against the blitz or put the offense into a more favorable play. The O-line can only do so much when they defense doesnt respect the QB's ability to pass. Everyone just looks at a sack or a hurried pass and says well the o-line should have blocked better but its just not that simple.

Ding ding ding... Right on. You see the start of some of these games? 9 guys in the box and they still try to run the ball. Good lord.
