It has happened before is not the same as saying it will happen again.

If duck has "pedigree" Sutton Smith is guaranteed to be the next Harrison.

      -Labelled too short.
-Only played in the lowly MAC.
-And most importantly...cut multiple times by us.

      THAT is pedigree.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

      TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

And while we are making ridiculous meaningless references to once in a blue moon success stories, don't sleep on Paxon Lynch.

The last time we got a Bronco first round QB bust from the scrap heap...he wound up comeback player of the year.

I guess youd have to look at the context clues to see it was more about whats "Possible" and what we hope for instead of what we "Expect" with Duck. Rudolph was more about "Expectations" since the Steelers had a 1st round grade on him.

and unless Hodges is related to any of the QBs mentioned.. "Pedigree" has nothing to do with it...
When you think "Pedigree", the names Watt, Heyward, Matthews, Kelce, Manning etc would apply.

              Definition of pedigree
              1 : a register recording a line of ancestors

              2a : an ancestral line : LINEAGE

2b : the origin and the history of something

The way the headline of this thread is stated "Hodges has the pedigree" lends itself to 1., 2A definitions... and to a much lesser extent 2B
