It only took 30 seconds to Google and find articles where Brady and Rivers called out team mates this year.

      obviously.....these guys crack me up
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

        Hold up. That’s your evidence?

Brady jokingly tells a DEFENSIVE END to study the playbook after he quoted ceaser.. In August? C’mon dude...

and then Rivers said WE were asking for it by making mistakes and turning the ball over in the RZ.

He didn’t call out Ekeler or Ty Long by name.

Geez. I thought you had some real juice and would make me admit I was wrong.

There is nothing wrong with saying “we didn’t play well”

All players say that after losses.

I’m talking about saying “James Washington needs to step up”

“AB ran a shallow route in the INT”

That’s the definition of calling a player out by name.

Every QB and player after a loss will say WE didn’t get the job done. There is no harm in that. It’s an obvious statement. It’s when you point out a specific player that it starts to cause issues.

I won't critique his short passes because 2-yard Tom made a career out of that.
Said in another post there was an interesting stat out there about Rudolph but I wanted to see if it held up through two games. Rudolph is the 5th most aggressive QB in the league in terms of passing with about 20% of passes fitting the criteria. An aggressive pass = a defender within 1 yd of the receiver. This is a two edge sword because more than likely it means the receivers aren't getting open. For all of Mahomes' magic, his receivers are often wide open due to the play call or blown coverage. He is 37th most aggressive with on 9% of close coverage passes.

And yes, TB is labeled the GOAT even though he is master of the dink & dunk. It's not flashy, but if it works, go with it.

TBs dink and dunk are different than ours.

And I actually don't care if Mason can do this against good defenses.

But, our datapoint of good play is against a pretty bad D.

I'm glad that we have a good datapoint, but I'll wait until we have more data.

Having time to evaluate Rudolph is kind of the "benefit" of Ben being hurt (although it's clearly not what anyone wanted).

Yet you come up with 2 over the last 15 years and say he does it all the time.
And those were answers to questions about what happened not 'calling guys out' just for the sake of it.

Pointing out other players flaws and blaming other players is something you are NEVER supposed to do as a QB. It’s an unwritten rule.

                      Especially on your radio show.

I’ve seen Brady rip players on the sideline.. I’ve seen Peyton argue with his center on the sideline.. but you have never heard them call a player out by name and say they should’ve done this instead of that... or said a certain player wasn’t ready for prom time and has to step his game up.

                      Brees, Rivers, Wilson, etc...

This is the reason Ben has that reputation. IMO he’s a passive aggressive dude and that rubs people wrong.

Never had a problem with the Peyton quote. He said what everyone saw and didn’t call out anyone by name.

He may also call out protection as well.

No issues when Heyward calls out the D or Pouncey calls out the OL.

It’s individual names that get you in trouble.

I also don’t think Ben threw his OL “under the bus” because he was responsible for half those sacks by holding onto the football.

I also believe most QB’s won’t call out the OL because the OL can get you killed if you make them mad.

Same reason some said they won’t call out the QB if they are WR’s. They need the ball so they are going to “love” their QB and even cry for them.

But once they move on... they fry the QB.

But you are mostly correct here.
I don't see how ANYBODY can justify Ben's Denver outburst.

Frankly, I think he was trying to be better.....his responses this season, owned it like young Ben.

As I said earlier, way too early to comment on Mason. Ben....heck Antonio, showed no indication of being anything but humble as new Steelers.

I really think that Ben just had enough of Mr. Big Chest. He couldn't take it anymore. AB is the only player - I think - that Ben really called out overly negatively. What he said about Washington I think was OK and was an attempt to motivate him.

Taken completely by itself with no context, the way Ben called out AB was awful. But knowing what we know about AB and the absurd way he's been acting, it's not difficult to imagine that Ben was at his limits with the a-hole and lost it when given the chance to say something.

I'm giving Ben a pass on that comment. Over his career, Ben has always been a guy to put the blame on his shoulders and come to the defense of his guys.
