Moncrief is a solid NFL receiver. I've always liked his skill set. He is likely our 4th best receiver. That is some nice depth and quality depth. He's been outplayed in camp by both Washington n Johnson but he was dealing with a splint on his finger. Our 5 n 6 Rogers, Spencer Switzer Holton or even Jones are not far off the mark. If there was a year to move some depth this is it n we really know the return is only a late draft pick but it is in play with our depth. We likely have 9 guys on the current roster who at the least will play on Sundays or be on a practice squad ours or elsewhere.

I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys R Us kid (who plays fantasy, but not Fortnite).

Just found out our draft order for my work league today...got the #2 pick.

The #1 guy already proclaimed he's taking Saquon.

If Zeke signs between now and our draft, that's my guy.

If not, I'll have to choose between Alvin Kamara or Christian McCaffrey.

      We are a 12 team non-PPR league.

I think I'm leaning Kamara right now, but it's close.

If that's my pick, I could name my team "Lights, Kamara, Action!"...see, told you I'm not growing up any time soon.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

        DONTE MONCRIEF

        WR, PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Donte Moncrief (finger) returned to practice on Wednesday.
He hadn't practiced in six days while nursing a broken ring finger. Moncrief has practiced fully just three times over the course of training camp but impressed in his return Wednesday (the Steelers had been off the previous two days following the death of WRs coach Darryl Drake), pulling in three touchdown passes from Ben Roethlisberger. Despite an eye-opening performance by James Washington in last week's preseason opener, Moncrief remains the favorite for No. 2 duties in Pittsburgh behind go-to target JuJu Smith-Schuster.

The race is still being run for the Z but there is no way at all that Washington is not in the lead over Moncrief as of today. And Moncrief is the vet however I could see Moncrief win out the X Juju stay in the slot n Wash start in the Z for 11 personnel which we are in more then any other set over 50% of the time.

With the current TE situation in Pittsburgh....I see the #2 & #3 WR getting the same amount of snaps. So is there really a battle?

Steelers' Moncrief will play through finger injury

              Jeremy Fowler
              ESPN Staff Writer

PITTSBURGH -- Coming off what he calls "my worst game ever," Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Donte Moncrief will continue to play through a dislocated finger suffered in training camp.

The Steelers need a legitimate No. 2 receiver opposite JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Moncrief didn't deliver during Sunday's 33-3 loss at New England with multiple drops and three catches for 7 yards despite a team-high 10 targets.

"[Ben Roethlisberger's] depending on me and I've got to make plays for him, hurt finger or not," Moncrief said. "There's nothing you can do to a dislocated finger, especially when you're a receiver. You've just got to tough out the pain and go."

Moncrief looked good at the start of training camp but missed time with the finger injury. He has been practicing in full for the last few weeks.

The Steelers signed Moncrief to a two-year, $9 million deal in the offseason. Moncrief played four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and one with Jacksonville, where he caught 48 passes for 668 yards and three touchdowns.

Coaches and teammates lauded Moncrief's playmaking and professionalism during camp, but this week Moncrief called the game review of the Patriots loss "sickening" because of all the missed plays. In the first half, Moncrief couldn't hold on to a crucial fourth-and-1 pass, which the Patriots contested well.

Moncrief admits he wanted to excel in his Steelers debut and might have pressed as a result, but he knows the solution is simple -- make plays.

"I know what I can do. That was probably my worst game ever," Moncrief said. "At the end of the day, you can't sit there and pout about it."

Coming off what he called "probably my worst game ever," Steelers receiver Donte Moncrief said he won't take time off despite playing with a dislocated finger suffered in training camp.

The team as a whole laid a turd of a game, I believe he will be a big part of this offense. And in turn, help JJ get his catches. But so should Mac, if they stop playing scared offense and let go of things a little they will be all good. Calling for heads after 1 with the recent history of starting just does make any sense. That’s why the season plays for r months. I was disappointed too, but I get the process.

                  Ah...Toys R Us.

Proof that the business model of intentionally gouging customers fails (at least sometimes).

Moncrief will have a chance to redeem himself. Ben too. That loss (to me ) was more than just a "start slow" loss. I've never seen the team THAT lack luster as a whole.

It felt as though the team as a whole was shell-shocked by being in Foxboro, where the cheaters were celebrating their 6th ring. Sad.

Did anyone draft Moncrief in fantasy? Lmao.

It’s early but whew. I would bench him or cut him on my FF

Is a dislocated middle finger THAT hard to play through? I'm sure it's painful. But can't they tape it next to the other finger and inject something for the pain? That thing probably won't be fully healed until the season is over. Hope he can figure it out.

Credit to the Steeler Dad guy calling Moncrief our best safety on the field on Sunday night, led the team in batted balls. That yielded some sad chuckles from me...
