Gotta give you credit; you've been coming up with some trade scenerios dude. Your right; a ton of activity is happening. You can tell that there's going to be some moving up and down in the first couple of rounds.
I'd love to see Colbert go get his guy; be it White or Bush. Tired of these turds like the Ravens or Bengals snipping us and taking "our guy" from us.Comment

Yeah, I love the Moncrief move; and Nelson is an upgrade just because.... I think Colbert is stepping up to the plate. I'm not holding the AB situation against him.Comment

ILB- Z. Brown, Hodges, Marron
OLB-Houston, Perry, Collins
RB- Crowell ( split carries and canbe 3rd down back too)
TE- that dude who played for the jets and jags last year... he has 3 names -- ( AFJ?) Jenkins? he went off 2 years ago with the Jets.
rumoured future cuts or trade possibilities
Rudolf TE
Darron Lee ILB
the other Lee dallas
I know with the cap it will be hard to sign all these positions, but I wonder if most of them will take a year "take a chance on me contract" and "superbowl run push"

Just had a thought about Colbert. 2015 was a "bad" draft over all,not just for Colbert IMO.
Golson I just read was a little bit a reach because he projected as a slot CB for a 2nd rd pick. He also had really bad luck for all his injuries so we never seen if he could have lived up to that pick.
So Nelson was signed as a make up to that draft. In my head there should be more 2015 Steelers picks still contributing and being signed to there next contract.
I figure the Steelers Draft grade on Nelson was 3-4th rd possibly. So KC used there 3rd comp on Nelson. Looking at him now was he worth the Steelers 2nd or 3rd? Definitely 3rd I think. But that is with Coates failure here. I liked the Coates pick then for sure.
The dynamics of the draft is interesting to say the least.
Also does this FA period seem for at least Steelers and GB I noticed become a make up to that 2015 draft. And maybe a good system for future FA players. Or is that more how teams in general play FA. 2nd contract guys they liked but missed on?Comment

You've got a point about the draft class of 2015 now that we can look back on it with some perspective.Comment

Steelers host James O’Shaughnessy
Posted by Josh Alper on March 18, 2019, 5:52 PM EDT
Tight end Jesse James left the Steelers for the Lions early in free agency and Pittsburgh is now taking a look at another player to fill out the position group.
Field Yates of ESPN reports that James O'Shaughnessy visited with the team on Monday.
O’Shaughnessy appeared in 30 games for the Jaguars over the last two seasons. He had 38 catches for 363 yards and a touchdown in the regular season and added two more catches for Jacksonville in their playoff run following the 2017 season.
He broke into the league as a 2015 fifth-round pick of the Chiefs and spent a few months with the Patriots in the 2017 offseason after a trade, but moved onto Jacksonville after being waived at the end of the preseason.
Vance McDonald and Xavier Grimble are the top returning tight ends in Pittsburgh.
