Im good with taking him regardless. We've got shifty speedsters who can run the underneath stuff that Metcalf may or may not struggle with. I want a guy who can blow the top off of any defense... a guy who will ensure JuJu is not double teamed.

I, too, want a guy who can blow the top off an opposing D ... but when you have a guy who everyone knows is a one trick pony, doesn't it make it that much easier for the other guys to defend?

He wouldn't be rated as high as he is if he was truly a one trick pony.

Mike Wallace was closer to the type that you describe...and was drafted accordingly (3rd round/pick 84). No way Metcalf makes it out of the 1st round. He may not make it to us.

I pray we dont take a CB with the first pick; even if we have two....

3 top rated CB's dont impress and are really thin.

We'll know more tomorrow about the db's but a first round cb though it's a huge need does makes me nervous.

Metcalf scares the bejesus out of me. He's never caught 40 passes in a season before. He's never had more than 650 yards receiving in a season. He's been limited by multiple injuries in college. When a football player is unnecessarily bulky like a weightlifter, you are just asking for way more soft tissue injuries than the average player. He reeks of David Boston. I would MUCH rather Hockenson.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Let's hope the Bengals become enamored with him?

He’s fun to look at and test but I dont see a real productive football player in him long term.

Metcalf wont get out of the top 10 after that Combine performance, so it’s a non issue anyway...
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

and that could be the case. There are several receivers in this draft that would be immediate #2s. I hope we end up with one of them.

This linebacker draft group looks really good to me. If we get that first round pick for AB, we could immediately turn our linebacker corps into a strength by getting Bush & Wilson. I want White but I just think he’s going to high.
