    Hockenson

Draft fast approaching...This is my Guy, the next Heath!

I know we have more glaring needs...ILB, CB...But with our cap space, Say we address these in Free Agency...

Lets further speculate and say, we get like a low 1st, early 2nd for AB...

With that pick we go ILB, WR, OLB, CB...Whatever we want to strengthen, that we didn't get in FA ( can't get everything )

Curious to see what y'all think...Who do you want?

. I don’t dislike the idea as much as some here might. But the only way the Steelers grab a TE in the first, is if no one they like on D falls and he is bpa.
    Trolls are people too.

i think they need to address our needs first. ilb, cb, olb(in no particular order) and then possibly wr, depending on AB

Okay, now we know the plans are to try to trade AB. While I'd like to be able to use him as ammunition to be able to move up from #20 into the top 10 to get LSU LB Devin White, that's pretty much a pipe dream at this point. Since AB seems to be sabotaging his value on Twitter these days, I would be happy if we were able to get
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

IMO its a luxury pick we cant afford.
            We have no OLB depth
            We have no ILB depth
            We have no CB depth
            We have no safety depth
            Our defense is in trouble

This. I'd be dissapointed if we take a TE in the 1st

I been on his nuts for a while now...

He seems to be the real deal....

He can be our #2 receiver on this team, some are comparing him to Kelce.

Just that alone, makes him a need, who is going to be the #2 receiver on this team...

Add in the fact MacDonald is injure prone and that they are letting JJ test FA.

I went round and round about this with a certain poster who is no longer here. He insisted the Steelers always take the BPA, and that that's the way we should draft. I tried to tell him you can't go strictly BPA, you have to factor need in to some degree as well. He would not admit it.

But Disco, Colbert just said he's not using free agency in a big way. He doesn't care about the amount of money we have available. So there is no way he's going to fix major things in free agency. Thus, he's not going to take Hockenson.

I like where your trying to go. Your trying to have a two-tight end offense and a power running game; I get it. But Colbert isn't having it.

I'm now convinced that if Colbert were 800 mil under the cap, he'd only spend 2 mil tops.

Well, he was flat out wrong then. Hahahahahahha. Because the last 3 drafts have proven that he's wrong.

I look at the draft as something for down the road. You wanna win this yr and fill needs you better develop who's on ur roster or look at free agency.

Tight End will be needed down the road.
Unless there's an obvious NFL ready ILB or CB available then im fine with going TE who seems to be NFL ready.

I'm in this camp. We definitely need to use two out of our first 3 picks on the linebacker corps. We don't do well drafting cornerbacks; no matter the round. I'd rather go into free agency and look for a cornerback.
