Perhaps, but not a gamble I'm willing to take for $9M+. As I mentioned earlier, I'm happy bringing him back on a 3 year deal at a price point that allows him to start, but does not tie the wrists if he is a backup or rotation player.

I think a 1st outside Top 20 is realistic. I think inside maybe be a swap but if a team needs a QB forget it. A high 2 might bring a player & a conditional next year. I know we want ransom but these may be something it will look like. Peterson would be nice but maybe cap hit too hard. I think he Will be moved highest bidder outside division.

    49ers
    2019 2nd
    2020 Conditional 3rd
    Player-Pettis WR or Moore CB

    Cardinals
    2019 2nd
    2020 Conditional 3rd
    Player-Reddick LB

    Raiders
    2019 1st #24
    Player-Conley CB

It will only take one team to start that bidding war & bring us a crazy package. The more he opens his mouth though I think decreases the chance of that happening.

I also don't think the player they get impacts draft strategy unless they get a WR they feel is a #2. 3 picks first 2 rounds will be CB, ILB, WR with trade unless they move on from Dupree. I think they sign Dupree long term more reasonable then 5th yr, maybe $5 mil avg, and look to add 3rd or 4th.

I think we could get a 1 around our own pick.

I don't see how anyone gives up something like a top 5 pick and keeps their job.

AB to the Jets for the 3rd would suffice....

If the trade market is huge for AB as is being reported and everyone acknowledges that AB is physically one of the best - if not THE best - receiver in the NFL, then I don't understand why someone wouldn't give up a 1st for him. If a team truly believes they can make AB behave, then he should be worth a 1st IMO.

I was making a joke. I know his grand daughter is there. But whatever the reason, doesn't matter. We are worse off. Bottom line.

Totally agree. It's not like he left for Cleveland or Jacksonville. He left to be close to family and to wake up and see the beautiful mountains every day. Can't fault a decision like that

3 years for less than 13 million per year.
    2019 $12,625,000
    2020 $11,300,000
    2021 $12,500,000
The 2019 hit would be $15.125M due to a $2.5M roster bonus due in March. That is why they are saying a deal would be done within the first 5 days of the new league year.
