Realistically....what can we get for AB?

I think the best you get for AB is a mid level starter and a 3rd. Teams know the situation and will be playing hard ball

I here you but JJ is JJ; Ridley has sky high potential and AB is an upgrade over MS. No doubt which one of those guys is being replaced.. it’s Sanu.

Those are plodding numbers; notice in Ryan’s MVP year the numbers are basically the same. Sanu has a low ceiling. Dud. And Sanu was mostly the second option those years.

Sanu's 3 years in Atlanta:
2016: 59 catches for 653 yards and 4 TD's
2017: 67 catches for 703 yards and 5 TD's
2018: 66 catches for 838 yards and 4 TD's

As a team's 3rd receiving option, that's hardly a dud. And Julio is already established as their WR1 and Ridley as their WR2.

This one makes little sense, unless Arthur Blank thinks he's playing fantasy football.

Not disagreeing that defenses (and critical stops) are important. But, the bottom 5 scoring teams are: Arizona, Jacksonville, Buffalo, Washington, Oakland. 4 of those 5 draft in the top 10, with Washington the exception at 15. None of them made the playoffs. Or had a winning record.

Most of them were bad on defense as well, so i'll save you the trouble of researching that. BUT... Jacksonville is a good case study of the problem with point you're making. They had the #4 scoring defense in the league.

If you hold your opponent to 17, but, only score 14, you still lose.

Teams like the Chiefs tend to do better than teams like the Jags, generally speaking.

But, to meet in the middle, what you strive to be is the Chargers (# 7 in both offense and defense ppg).

I agree; Chargers do have a better mix; but so does the Colts. I actually like the Colts even better. Because they even have the best O-line to go along with the defense.

Jets are now saying they want to move on from Leonard Williams; I’d try and trade AB for Leonard Williams straight up.

Then use our 20th pick in the first round on a can’t miss Lb; maybe even go LB in round two also. Use free agency to address one of the cornerback positions.

And convert the defense to a more traditional 4-3.
