He thinks players would want Brown there because that's getting them closer to winning; that only applies if you act like a man. Players would rather struggle then to have a guy on the team who quit on them. That's the competitive side in men that he can't seem to relate to.
I lettered in football and baseball in high school and played sports my entire childhood, I understand how locker rooms work. I have also been successful in my career to get where I am at 37 years old I understand competition very well.

Batch also went on to say that people dont realize how much Roethlisberger has protected Brown over the years when it comes to the wide receiver not always running the correct routes on plays and how often times he’s ad-libbed and how in doing so it’s worked out well for both players thanks to the report they have developed with each other

No disrespect but your not the only one to do those things. Not that big of a deal.

Also a locker room full of rich men is much different I would think then kids playing the game? At least it should be.
Maybe the problem with players now, is there are still more like the kids playing a game? Instead of men with a high profile entertainment job.

I didn't say it was a big deal, you are the one that said I "don't relate to the competitive side of men", I pointed out that I know competition.

But back to the videos, just because someone isn't in the locker room doesn't mean they cannot make valid points about the chemistry of this team. It stinks, quite frankly. I just read that Vince Williams is taking shots at team mates for talking about Antonio Brown (calling them RATS on twitter!). DeAngelo Williams is fighting with Ryan Clark on twitter. You have current and former Steelers players lashing out in public at one another. This is not a good thing, and I can't point to any other team in the league where this is happening. So, the assertion that you have to be in the locker room to see that a franchise is in melt-down mode isn't accurate. I mean, AB was caught with a cell phone on the sidelines last season and brought Facebook Live into the locker room. The crap is public and spiraling out of control fast. It's an embarrassment.[/QUOTE]

Haven’t been on here much so way behind on the chatter. Too me the “former” players saying things could be legitimate, but it also smells like some who want to get their name back in some headlines. IMO

I think you are spot on with your post... but I think the primary reason why guys like Bettis and Hines speaking out... is because they are very much still invested in the success of the organization (you hear them refer to the Steelers as "Their team") and are concerned with the direction of the team from a leadership/culture standpoint.

Anyone suggesting that Hines and Bettis are just saying stuff to be back in the headlines is sticking their head in the sand. Bradshaw, Harrison, Bettis and Hines care about this franchise. They are forever invested in the well being of this franchise.

Exactly. Just saw a poster recently refer to those who are critical of Tomlin and the "Culture" as basically being irrational. I think that was a very foolish thing to say... and irrational in it's own right.

I hope some of these folks will finally come around to the realization that we've got some problems... and they won't be easily fixed.

All this "noise" will disappear when the Steelers stack up the Ws.

I don't think the problems are not manageable at all.
Move on from a couple spoiled apples. AB, Bell, Burnett. Can't throw out Ben or Tomlin yet.
Any contract issues move on fast don't let it linger. Ben/Pouncey/Foster need to send a message with there new contracts/extensions. A we are all in let's go!
Reset the expectations in camp. Even if it rubs Ben a little raw. Hope he still has enough drive to take it like a man and see it needs to be done to succeed as a TEAM.
Pull back on vet perks some.
There is a good core of guys looking to succeed the right way. Heyward, Watt, Conner, JuJu have all been saying the right things at the probowl etc.
There are enough vets to right the ship in short order IF the spoiled apples are replaced.

One thing I would like is for Rooney to tell Roethlisberger to shut down his radio show, regardless of how all else plays out.

yea I guess. I just have a problem with this type of culture. Say just about anything someone will get butt hurt and cry. Some of what Ben says is to be hard but motivating. But I am old school.
I see the Washington dig he did as just trying to motivate. Some others are questionable even from my point of view. Like the I should have thrown to JuJu 4 times.
But it might be better for everyone to get back to a TEAM first mentality.
