Or just one that doesn't want to overreact.

Art's in denial. This is not good news. The first step in dealing with a problem is admitting it exists.

                  NB,

I don't think the majority of those who post here believe you get info from press conferences. But when you get the ludicrous responses that insult even the dumbest in the room (often the folks in the very room in which said press conference is held), it is unacceptable.

The responses by ARII are as stupid as

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman" or in the spirit of bi-partisanship, "I am not a criminal"

the point is everyone knew/knows otherwise and save the damn CO2 by opening your pie-hole up and lying through you teeth.

At least veil it with something like...well I wouldn't say it's a cultural problem, a few incidents, in this day and age of social media, can often appear to be much larger than life. We do not typically discuss things such as discipline and corrective steps, but suffice it to say that those things happen and will continue to happen. I think, like with any organization, we need to continuously improve on things like how to deal with the new age of tweets, instagram and facebook and the modern athlete, but suffice it to say I believe we handle a lot of this internally and you will not necessarily see those responses in the public eye.

Yeah it's total double-speak and BS, but guess what? I at least they respect the fan enough to say...it's none of your business and we don't necessarily look for the public approval of our approach to things.

That is what I am expecting. Not "smoke? that just a small fire for the palace guards to keep themselves warm...and now let me continue to fiddle while Rome is burning...

Is he lying? Didn't he keep most of the coaching staff intact, if Rooney really believed it was the culture of the team wouldn't he make the necessary changes? We were a couple of missed kicks from another division title, I think the idea that the team is spiraling out of control is blown out of proportion.

We were 7-2-1 with 6 games left, with a 2 1/2 game lead in the division ... we went 2-4 over those last 6 weeks, blowing 4th quarter leads in all of the losses, including falling to the Broncos and Raiders. Considering all the talent we had, our end-of-season collapse was one of the biggest choke jobs I've seen in 50 years of watching the NFL.

And your point is????? We were still a few kicks from having 12 wins and a division title and that's not even factoring in the costly fumbles. Things didn't go our way this season but we were right there, no need to go over board.

Looking at the trajectory of this team... would you be willing to say we will finish better than 9-6-1 next year? I'm thinking Cleveland has a real chance of winning the division... We will likely split with Baltimore... and Cincy won't be near as banged up when we play them.

Not only would I be willing to say it but I would be willing to bet it. Like I said we were just a few kicks away from another division title and we lead in the 4th quarter of almost every game.

Fair enough... although I will contend that this team is more than a "Kicker" away from being serious contenders. For one, the team and organization need a "Culture" change...and that's not likely to happen any time soon.

A few kicks?? What did kicks have to do with giving up a 16 point lead at home to the Chargers?? What did kicks have to do with not being able to stop Derek Carr from driving down the field with a used up Jordy Nelson as the only viable Wr the raiders have??? What did kicks have to do with having first and goal at the broncos 2 yard line and Conner not get a single snap shot at a carry to win the game??

You need to stop living in a fantasy world of our kicker and turnovers being the only problem. We haven’t been a great plus turnover team in eons. Your quote dillusional.
